He's a backup PG who shoots 40% from 3s, 2.2 makes a game. Can't ask for more.

Like the Stephenson signing. Lakers need toughness/attitude.

Fits the scheme and given the makeup of the team with multiple passers in LBJ, Lonzo, BI, Randle (if retained), Stephenson, they don't need a true PG.

him as backup point guard would be a blessing for us.

He is another multi position player. Seems to be the theme with the draft and signings excluding Javale.

If he joined, we'd basically have no one under 6'5.

I wonder if the Thunder used their MLE to sign Noel and they'll move away from Evans.

Maybe Evans told them his decision

Wow. Dude turned down 70 million from the Mavs and now has to settle for the vet min. He needs a new agent

Edit: I see that he did fore re agent who turned down the 70 million.

Same agent who brought you...KCP...which led to LBJ.

Perhaps Noel was a bit lower on the priority list for Klutch Sports.

Why the hell did we get Stephenson if we could get this guy instead?

Stephenson will be signed to the room exception. His signing is practically inconsequential to a potential Evans signing.

Magic knows that you need wing depth and lots of it.

If the Lakers have one or two or three injuries this year, they will keep chugging along. Pretty smart.

how is it inconsequential? We cant offer Tyreke 4.5mil because we already gave it to Lance

Evans isn’t taking 4.5 mill, Stephenson will, so it’s inconsequential.

Evans wants over double that amount.

It looks like he fired the agent that turned down the 70M and hired Rich Paul.

Yet, your "sig" suggests otherwise. Not to mention a roster of "16." smh

Shake your head? I’m scratching mine ... in complete, utter confusion over your post.

With Evans (minus Deng):

PG - James - Ball - Caruso
SG - Pope - Hart - Calderon - Newman
C - McGee - Randle - Zubac - Bryant
PF - Ingram - Kuzma - Wagner
SF - Evans - Mykhailiuk - Stephenson

If Randle is sent away for Leonard:

PG - James - Ball - Caruso
SG - Pope - Hart - Mykhailiuk - Newman
C - McGee - Wagner - Zubac - Bryant
PF - Ingram - Kuzma - Wear
SF - Leonard - Evans - Stephenson

If we get Evans to fill our backup PG slot between Zo and Caruso, AND keep Randle to ride shogun/ enforcer duty next to LBJ, then we are SET.

I'm not sure if that wasn't a caveat to getting LeBron. KCP is another Rich Paul client.

Yeah, he'd a good fit for us because at 6'6 225 lbs he can backup the 1-3 for us. Great playmaker and rebounder. His shooting has improved the last 2 years.
