Great day off for the Dodgers. Move to first in standings without nary a swing thanks to the Padres and Cardinals.

Up one in the 9th, and lose the game on TWO errors. Not good.

I really don't get Grandal. Kenley always gives the runner 2nd base...

The Angels always give the Dodgers trouble, even when they suck.

I don't understand why every baserunner that gets on against Jansen doesn't steal, just like with Jon Lester. I would go every single time, and I wouldn't stop until I was standing on third base if there were less than 2 outs.

Grandal might be a good pitch-framer, but that is the extent of his worth as a defensive catcher. That wasn't an awful throw by Puig, and he just reacted late and horrible to the bounce. Get in front of the thing and stop the ball. He knew the runner from third wasn't coming in to try to score, and the evidence of that was that he wasn't trying to quickly catch the ball and apply a tag. He just whiffed it. Feeble.

And yes, Jansen has to cover the plate on that.

What the heck was going on with Kenleys hat/hair last night. It was all tucked into the hat and could barely fit over his head. lol

I happened to be watching the game with my stepfather who is a baseball diehard and purist.

He hated Jansen not covering the plate on that, ranted for like 5 minutes about lost fundamentals in baseball, lol....

Dodgers just can't get over the hump....they get close to 1st place then lose to a bottom feeder team like the Padres.
