Fun fact: Giroud has played 7 hours at this World Cup without registering a shot on goal.

Promising beginning to that game with some great saves from both keepers. Not the best 2nd half.

France the favorite against England/Croatia.

I would give the advantage to France based on play this World Cup, but I think it would be a pretty solid matchup between England and France. It would not be a lopsided affair as some people think.

the one World Cup where based on the how teams played the USA had the best chances of slipping through deep and they dont even show up.

Feels like England went into their version of NFL's prevent defense after they score the first goal.....

England looks like they are out of gas despite the fact that this is Croatia's 3rd consecutive extra time game.

I guess it's not coming home.

England was pathetic. Croatia, after a slow start, kept fighting and fighting and fighting. They looked more energetic after playing three extra times in a row.

England had the same strategy as France, except they couldn't prevent Croatia from scoring. France had much younger athletes so that probably helped.

Blame City players - Stones and Walker were egregiously bad. Kane did absolutely nothing. Good on Croatia midfield, bossed the game after conceding the opening goal.

He had 6 goals, but 5 of them were against what was pretty much awful competition in the World Cup. He had one against Colombia but once they faced better teams his production dropped.

You know I meant this match. England lack creativity, even when they get that rare clear-cut opportunity, it ends up being squandered.

Yeah, you watch the entire game, and you can't figure out what they're actually trying to do. Unimaginative, boring football.

Kane is slow and indecisive.

Yep. They played not to lose, which is guaranteed to have the opposite effect.
