Love how you're trying to see the good in this. He's horrible. Not an NBA caliber player. Plan and simple. |
Ennis isn't that bad. If you are just asking him to stay in a specific swim lane, defend and shoot corner threes, he will probably be serviceable. It will be interesting to see Green, Ennis and whoever else Morey finds fill that critical 3 & D role this year. _________________ Austin Reaves keeps his game tight, like Kobe Bryant on game night. |

Why do we care? This isn't the Rockets free agency thread and isn't Clutch City.net that away----------> |

Not even top 20; not a big fan of centers that are absolute defensive liabilities. Jokic makes Pau Gasol look like Gobert |

First Zach Lowe, West, and now the media are saying that everyone knew that LeBron was going to the Lakers, so its not even an accomplishment. The lengths the media and the rest of the league goes out their way to discredit the Lakers is something else. |

Comedy!! Just the opportunity to be able to sign a max FA THIS season was a great accomplishment in and of itself. Just over a year ago, we had crap contracts and little to no significant draft picks. My how times have changed. Or have they? |

Jerry's bitter as (bleep) because Jeanie didn't want him back as a consultant. And also still lingering saltiness from back when Phil came in. It's all good, we still love you Jerry and the success you brought this franchise on and off the court. |

The media narratives and hypocrisy since LeBron signed has just been nauseating. Every other fanbase thought it was laughable that Bron would consider joining the Lakers and thought that the Sixers or Rockets have much better shots at getting Bron until he signed with the Lakers. Now its that Bron joined because the Lakers are the Lakers, and that he would have even joined with Jim & Mitch at the helm even. The team is set up to sign ANOTHER max FA NEXT season as well to go along with Bron and the youth. This Lakers team can now literally win now and build for the future at the same time, which is the best of both worlds. |

I thought that Jeanie wanted West back, but Magic was the one who was opposed. |

Guess Magic and Rob won't even get a sniff at being voted for Exec Of The Year. Sheesh. What they've accomplished is unbelievable. Just look at how the posts on here have changed with the old regime vs now. Unreal. They've changed our perspective in a positive way. |

If Bron met with the Clipper brass, Balmer would just embarrass himself by crying in front of James. Jerry would have to back hand him to make him stop. |

I partially agree in a sense....I think Jeanie, Magic and Pelinka were extremely important through both reputation and an improved perception of the organization.....for that they deserve a ton of credit. I do not think we get Lebron without them. That being said, I think LA was his choice, and the Lakers just had to be acceptable to him. |

Couldn’t agree more. Perfectly said. West is very a bitter old man now but thank you so much for everything you’ve done for the Lakers. |

Before LeBron...'No one wants to come to the Lakers. In fact they cant even get meetings.'
After LeBron...'It was easy. Everyone knew he was coming for over a year.'

It's just funny because if you use the logic West used, than Jerry West's whole Lakers run can be viewed the same way, as Shaq went to LA because of all the off the court Hollywood opportunities, Kobe forced his way as a rookie to play in LA, Magic wasn't going to declare for the 1979 draft if the Bulls ended up with the number one pick instead of the Lakers, Kareem demanding to be traded to the Lakers to play in LA, etc. I just think its sour grapes by West and the media to now say its all because of Lakers exceptionalism when the league and media have been boasting for the past 5 years that being a big market doesn't matter anymore in today's social media age, and now crying foul of LeBron joining the Lakers because it's in LA. |

He's a Celtics homer on par with Bill Simmons. Any of his Lakers takes need to be taken with a grain of salt |

the Laker brand definitely helped Jerry, but anyone that knows about the Shaq acquisition knows that was more about the Magic's FO's failures, and Jerry West's efforts. He may not be the biggest fan of Magic...and there may be valid reasons from his perspective....but to call Jerry West a bitter old man is beyond ignorant.....everything is sunshine in that man's life. |

Turns out that Stephen A was right when news broke of LeBron signing here...no player option. We have him for 4 years barring something crazy happening.
