They really should just rename ESPN to TMZ-Sports.

I don't think that's fair to TMZ. They are much more reputable and correct more often than ESPN.

Personally I don't consider texting the exact same as "speaking". As much as I like Luke, the reality is he was not hired by Magic / Pelinka, and in sports that usually hurts your job security. If things go south I expect Luke to be the first guy to go.

yeah, that's right. TMZ shows us raw BUT ACTUAL footage. ESPN just makes up (bleep) as they go.

I believe that. I have not been the biggest fan of Luke's lineups in the past. He's going to really have to be on his A game and find a way to use these guys correctly or he's going to have problems.

Someones going to have to sacrifice because we have a lot of guys who can contribute..including Ski and Wagner. I think Lance and McGee will be the guys who ultimately will have to sacrifice minutes.

I hope Luke's lineups and minutes allocation flow correctly.

Yea, Luke has to earn his stripes now.

"Lebrawn have a seat, we needed you fresh for the playoffs"

"Rondo have a seat we need Lonzo to gain experience"

"Magic have a seat.. I'm the coach"

We shall see if he can handle it.

Big time cause Rondo or Lance might also get a bit irritated if they feel they aren't getting enough minutes. Will Luke be strong enough to play who's playing better or will the pressure that he might get from the vets get to him? Gonna be even harder if Josh keeps this type of play up. We'll just have to wait and see

Where's the conflict? Without the Randle/Nance/Brook musical chair (bleep) show from a season ago, I think this is smooth sailing for Luke quite honestly.

The only 2 coaches alive that could bench Lebron James against his will are Popovich and Phil Jackson. And Lebron already isn't a fan of Phil.

I expect Lebron to be the only player with significant minutes, everyone else will split minutes, i.e. Ball and Rondo, Caldwell-Pope and Hart, Ingram and Kuzma, Zubac and McGee, Stephenson in the “glue guy” role, and the rookies, Mykhailiuk and Wagner, getting minutes with Lebron in blowouts. The roster is balanced. The concern I have is the poor free throw shooting.

I'm hoping Lebron finds some humility, but you are probably right.

Idk, where Lance gets his minutes. Kcp might get the start and Josh should probably get the back up minutes at sg. Lebron,B.I and Kuz should have the sf/pf position minutes.

Lance will get his minutes when we go small...those minutes will more than likely come from McGee playing limited minutes. I would only really play McGee versus teams with very good bigs.

Thats just me though. What Luke does is anyone's guess.

We'll play a good about of small ball. I wouldn't be surprised to see Hart and KCP on the floor together with one of them at the 3.

I expect McGee to start the halfs and then never be seen again.

I think Luke will use Stephenson as a multi-position defender and playmaker. When Luke unsatisfied with the effort of any of the starters or reserves, i.e. Ball, Caldwell-Pope, Ingram, then he will substitute them for Stephenson to maintain consistent first and second units. Stephenson used as the glue guy, since he can play 1 to 3.

No it’s up to the players to perform.

And let’s be honest, he’ll get all the blame for losses and no credit for wins per usual. He’s rarely judged fairly.

Of the things that would make or break this team's next season (and I'm not sure making only 44 wins would be called breaking), Luke's down the list in terms of how his work impacts this team. I'd weight the individual and group health of these guys as greater than what Luke does: LeBron, Ingram, Kuzma and Ball.

there's a clear pecking order...
Lebron and everyone else.
Rondo and Lance may have alot to say but will have zero pull and can easily be released.

LaVar will have lots to say too

it'll be complete gibberish, but he'll definitely have a lot to say

especially when Rondo's playing in critical minutes instead of Lonzo
