Have to say he’s got great passing instincts so far, I like him. Needs to tighten up that handle and just work on a consistent jumper, but you can’t teacb court sense and he’s got that.

Swing pass. Cross court pass. Pretty slick vision.

Quick passes inside to cutters, drive and dishes. Teammates didn’t finish but he can deliver that ball.

I hope I'm wrong, but I think this pick was a big whiff. It's a shame with Melton still on the board. Could have had him and Mo and Svi.

I know we're calling him young, but it's not like he's 15. He's 18, the same age or only 1 year younger than many of the draft picks. Knox is looking at least a gigaparsec (I would have said light year, but that's understated) ahead of Bonga at the same age. With what the Lakers payed, I think they saw 1st round talent, and I just am not seeing it.

Yes, he has the passing instincts of a 1, but nothing else. Doesn't have the handle of a 1. Doesn't have the shake of a 1. Doesn't have the shot of a 1. He also doesn't have the scoring instincts of a wing, but he has the body of a wing, without the athleticism of a wing.

He's a modern day tweener. A man without the skills to fit any position. And no, I don't mean he's got the skills to play position-less basketball.

There were definitely more NBA ready picks at 39 than him, but he is intriguing enough for me that I want to see what he can do for us at some point. Just don’t think they needed to use that high a pick on him. Really hope he puts in the work and they develop him.

meh.. not impressed but I guess expecting to be impressed would be foolish.

wish Robinson lasted a couple more picks... that's an A+ draft

He looks like a huge project still. Seems like hes years away from contributing. Looks like a guy who should have been stashed overseas.

He is a 18 year old kid that just got here from outside the country and did not have the advantage of 2 weeks of practice and game. I think it is way too early to make any judgements. Maybe we will have a better idea in the preseason.

he has a say in the process....a draft and stash player has to be willing to be stashed. If not, they either get a contract to be on the roster or their draft rights are renounced. Teams have to have an idea of players wishes before they draft him, or they potentially just waste their pick.

This Bongo pick is looking worse by the day, I'd easily take Melton, Diallo or Diop over him without question and I'd also rather keep the 19 2nd round pick.

So far he's shown one nice pass a game, other than that it's red flags everywhere.

I seriously doubt any other team would've drafted Bongo, the Lakers could've just pick him up as an undrafted free agent, no need to waste a pick for him.

They let him shuffle his feet before he drives in Germany? LOL! Is it nerves, or do they rarely call that in Germany?

But you guys shouldn't be getting a heart attack about him, kid's 18. And like I said to everyone who thinks we have some sort of fool proof drafting system... do this long enough, you will get duds.

I seriously doubt he's 18. I know he's supposedly born in Germany and all, but no 18 year old alive looks like that unless if he's got a premature aging condition.

He certainly doesn't move like an 18 yo either, dude is slower than Jeff Ayres.

I know he’s 18 (allegedly...his face says late 20s/30s), but for a kid that’s supposed to be a point guard, he sure travels...a lot.

Like, every time he even attempts to dribble a lot.

Melton is a SG though. Literally the last position we need right now.

You're being hyperbolic. Plus, he's got the same aging disease as Lebron and Greg Oden.
