How does our version of the "death lineup" stack up to playoff teams?

PG - Lonzo Ball
SG - Josh Hart
SF - Brandon Ingram
PF - Kyle Kuzma
C - LeBron James

This could either backfire, or work perfect. Lebron played rim protector role in Cavs during playoffs multiple times, along with Tristan Thompson.Mcgee needs to give at least solid 18 minutes.

Yep, our death if you include a guy that can't hit a FT...Rondo, Lance and maybe KCp will be in the line up

Honestly I think any lineup of death we throw out there next season should include Rondo, especially if it's in the playoffs.

I'm starting to warm up to the idea of Rondo and Bron just killing teams in the playoffs together. That's a ton of experience and IQ and competitiveness right there.

Agree with this. Let Lonzo play against backup PGs and tear it up.

How about the Sniper lineup?

KCP
Hart
Svi
Kuzma
Lebron

funny you mention that cause the FT shooting of that lineup is (bleep) based on last years numbers.

45%

I think the death lineup is going to take some time, and since all the starters positions are up for grabs except Lebron's, our best unit on the floor is still a point of conjecture. That true lineup of death is probably a major free agent away, so maybe not a lot of 20-30 point blowout wins this year, not at least from the starters.

But, what I think we will see first, is the deep bench of death lineups. Even against good teams, when their starters go out, or they get some foul trouble, they are going to see multi-skilled Laker bench players making runs. I'd really like to see us take sub-500 teams out of games, see Lebron playing 30-32 minutes, while we coast to some comfortable wins.

I think this bench could rival the Horry or Mychael Thompson era. Guys like Kuzma and Hart may be playing highly skilled starter level play, off the bench, and closing out games.

Agreed - we're so far ahead of everyone else that we could pretty much pick any 5 guys right now and the result is the same - we're dead.

To play small and win, you need the mobile big to do it.

Miami used Chris Bosh.
Golden State uses Dray Green.

I don't think LBJ is that guy - however LBJ should move to the 4 full time next year. If we want a small ball lineup that is effective, we need a mobile 5 that can stretch the floor, be a post sprinter, play defense inside and on the perimeter. Those players are not easy to find - and I think Randle had the talent for it, but unfortunately not the 3 point shot.

Noah Vonleh. He's a guy I would seriously look at if I wanted an effective death/small ball lineup.

Vonleh doesn’t have a 3 pt shot either. I think Lebron should be point.

I think Vonleh has the talent and shot to make some 3s. He's good at spotting up at the 3 point line, and then doing a few dribbles. He could be a double threat there. If he's at 33-34 percent in Fizadle's offense, I think if you allow him freedom and tell him to focus on his 3 point shot, he'll be able to make them at a decent clip. I like his all around energy and game. I don't think the Lakers will regret it if they sign him.

LBJ gotta be willing to bang downlow like Draymond, Ball and KL would lock down the perimeter so tight but maybe Wayne Ellington for Hart's spot?

If we can keep our pick while signing KL, I would put Hunter at PF.

Zo
BI
KL
Hunter
LJ

There are many who believe Hunter is going to be a perfect PF in todays NBA. Better shooting by far and dare I say potentially one of the best defensive units in the league.

No matter how foolish, people still keep throwing out ridiculous line ups that would never work consistently.

When we get guys that can play both ends of the floor. Guys who can hit 45-40-85+. Guys who move without the ball consistenly. Guys who can hit shots from 35 feet out... and so on and so forth.

Until then this just sounds like we know nothing about basketball
