I was just sitting outside here in Vegas...it's still 101 here with a slight breeze that is about 3 degrees hotter than the heat radiating off the ground.
they say it's a dry heat like a sauna ...throw some water on the rocks already

America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.
The heat is on, on the street
Inside your head, on every beat
And the beat's so loud, deep inside
The pressure's high, just to stay alive
'Cause the heat is on _________________ Love, Laker Lanny

gotta be better than FL/Southeast US humid heat....if I park outside the garage....the short walk from door to car/driveway in the morning will leave me "moist".....if I forget something, and have to go back in....the 2nd trip will cause shirt to have wet spots.
I finally caved and bought a window AC from lowes. Don't know why i didnt do this years ago
I was thinking of doing the same but I bought some $16 Lasko box fans instead and its been the best purchase I made in a while. After its cooler outside than inside I open my back windows and put the box fans in them and let them push in cool air while the front windows are open to exhaust the heat. The rooms pushing in the evening air get cool faster than running my inefficient upstairs central AC unit. _________________ (bleep) Kawhi

I have a AeonAir 8000 btu for my bedroom. It's nice. Keeps the room around 65 to 70 degrees. If it gets to cold I can adjust the temperature. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

The real problem is that with monsoon weather we are getting the humidity. Not Louisiana 98% but more like 80%. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023.

AC set to 65 everyday. I'm really sensitive to heat. It was 113 on Saturday a few weeks ago. I'm pretty sure I would have died without AC. _________________ Don't let perfect be the enemy of good
Moved in April to a place with central AC, thank Christ. I've been in the sh with box fans and swamp coolers and cold showers. You people enduring that have my empathy. _________________ GOAT MAGIC REEL SEDALE TRIBUTE EDDIE DONX!

Heineken/Aquafina= pretty much the same thing.
Love that scene.
PBR The More You Drink PBR, The Better You Like It!
PBR was $1.05 a 6 pack and Heineken was $3.69...
We would grab a hand truck and head into the cooler of the local liquor store ...we would face the shelves of the PBR with the 6 packs out of the case and fill them with Heineken...load a 'real' PBR on top...3 cases of Heineken and 1 PBR for $17
Enough cash left for a couple of bottles of Montezuma's Revenge Tequila

Went to the Dodgers/Angels game a week or 2 ago.
I was on the 1st base side. Big mistake. The beer didn't help my dehydration situation either. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better”

It definitely is - About 106 from Monday through Thursday here in the valley. Love it here any other time of the year, except summer. Might move to some other part of L.A. some day if I can afford it.
