I don't mind Kobe helping Tatum reach his potential. Kobe himself said he was mentored by the likes of Jordan and other veterans when he was on the way up so it only makes sense that he should give back.

Jayson Tatum has been working out with Kobe Bryant and Drew Hanlen.

So Tatum is working out with one of the more impactful minds for young players this summer, and Kobe Bryant. Unlike some of Hanlen's other projects, Tatum's offensive game is beyond his years as an 80th percentile scorer last season, especially as a spot-up shooter at 87th percentile (Synergy). Tatum did only have 1.4 isolation possessions per game and he was below average on those, so that is the last piece of the puzzle. Even with Gordon Hayward getting healthy, Tatum should get his as he looks to build off his magnificent start.
