Kobe, I would always welcome you back with open arms. Shame on the others who've switched up on ya already.
if we look like we had a shot at the ring....would love for Kobe to come back around March....play 5 minutes here and there....and get #6! Staples would explode when he went to the scorers table that first time.

Kobe's too prideful to do that. Didn't he say if he doesn't think he could play the game at a high level and just becomes someone coming off the bench, he won't play at all? _________________

It's not about that ...
I created multiple user accounts (it was PSN/Xbox live years ago) Based on my favorite Laker since the Showtime era. We love Kobe and respect all he has done for the franchise, but his time has passed. the best thing Kobe can do is work with your young guys as a developmental consultant. Teaching footwork, film study and other nuances.

I do not think he would come back for any reason.....just saying what would make me happy.

What's weird is that last night I had a dream about Kobe announcing his comeback....
I also dreamt of Pau Gasol going back to Memphis to play with his brother. Memphis got the #7 seed and upset #2 San Antonio in the first round. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:
Yeah, those photos of Kobe working out with Tatum were actually Tatum training Kobe for his comeback

I agree with all of this, but if players are not already taking advantage of Detail, man that is not smart.. _________________ We pour this booze and we drink this booze because we think it's yummy. YUMMY! So over the tounge and down the throat to party in our tummys.

Kobe is done. He'd be 40 next year, coming off a two year layoff, and averaged 17.6 points on 35.8% shooting when he last played. Enjoy what he gave in the past, but nothing good could come of him returning to the court. He'd have a superstar's ego in a 12th man's body.
Since Shaq let the cat out of the bag, I guess it's safe to share this with you guys.
Kobe is definitely coming back this season. It won't be at the start, but sometime after the new year, he is going to be back. Right now they're just working out his position. It's either going to be courtside or in a box.

I'm a Kobe hater but I would flip out if he came back. That would be awesome. He could be 6th man. He should be nice and rested by now. Jordan played at the age and Carter is still playing and he's older than Kobe. Come back, Kobe!!

Vince Carter hasn't played nearly the same amount of post season/finals games as Kobe. Kobe has played extra seasons if you count the amount of playoffs he's played (plus he was drafted a few years prior).
MJ took 2 years off between 93-95, retired in 98, and took another 3 years off before returning fairly healthy (other than some minor nagging aches and pains) in 2001.
Kobe has more miles on his body than both those guys even with the last few years off. The reason why he retired in the first place is because his body was no longer able to keep up with his mind, in the sense that he always believed he was the best when he was out there playing, but with deteriorating health, he was no longer able to back that up, and thus called it a career (rightfully so).
At this point, it wouldn't make sense for him to return after the farewell tour he was given across the league.
He left with a bang, granted in a game that meant nothing against Utah, but still a bang none the less. That's the end, and I believe he's moved on.
Shaq is just trolling, which he's known to do. Troll away, big fella! _________________ I miss you Kobe. I miss you Gigi.

Kobe has/had more tread on the tires than both those guys. It's moot anyway. He ain't coming back. _________________ We pour this booze and we drink this booze because we think it's yummy. YUMMY! So over the tounge and down the throat to party in our tummys.

I believe Shaq, he predicted LeBron to the Lakers, and might have close ties with Kobe now that they burned bridges, I wouldn’t mind seeing Kobe suit up for 13-15MPG.
