LeBron/Kuzma
Ingram
J.Hart
L.Ball
Again in theory, the only hole would be the C position. Regardless you dont say no to Kawhi if he is healthy. |
if the hole was not big enough to trip us up this year....why would it be a big concern next season? GSW's biggest weakness after 2016 Finals....but they went after Durant. |
Great point
The question really has me thinking what all would have to go right to beat GS? Offensive break outs from Kuzma/Ingram/Hart isnt that unrealistic. The problem will be will play good enough defense to contend against GS/Rox.
Let's not forget LeBron nearly dragged a less talented Cavs team almost to 2 wins vs the Warriors. |
I think I have adopted the belief that unless you have a legit game changer at Center....like AD....then I would hesitate to use a significant part of my salary cap on that position. |

Ehh. There are some legit centers out there that will help you win. Embiid,AD, Gobert, Adams, KAT, Capela, Jokic (defense?) _________________ "He's a Zen master, so he can speak to you, and he doesn't need a microphone; you can hear him in your head, 'Ron, don't shoot, don't shoot.' Yes. Altough you could make a case that someone like D.Jordan would be a better fit b/c If the Lakers win a championship it will be because of Kuzma/Ingram/Hart/Zo developing into something special right now. |
I'd think Zo and BI improve.
And Rondo and McGee kill it, with kcp and the rest being solid.
I'd think the Lakers couldn't resist improving the team with KL.
But that would mean one or 2 of the one year guys who helped win it, don't get re-signed. |

That close to 2-2... I want KL, but am happy we stayed pat, next season we can have the young guns one more year into maturity with KL and of course the "KING"....Still think we are top 2 to 4 this season even without KL, but next year with KL (hopefully) and the young guys that much better, we are the team IMO. |

Can we trade this thread to the North? While KL will be on our radar he is a Raptor and will likely be so until the end of the season. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Maybe by then there will be some evidence that Leonard is capable of consistently staying on the court or near his previous levels.
Until that is established I hope the Lakers have little interest and resist the temptations. |

He’s going to be a constant topic of conversation all year, just like Lebron was.
Will be good to have this thread to keep the discussion focused in here. |

Im really starting to think he'll go to the clippers. I like our odds better if we trade for him _________________ Kobe |

He can still walk, and we are out of Ingram or Kuzma. |

Yep not worth the risk. Trading for a player with 2-3 more years left on their contract makes more sense |

Nobody in their right mind would choose the Clippers over the Lakers. If He chose to go to the Clippers, that would mean that something is not quite right upstairs and they can have him. |

I want Leonard and his claw hands here next summer. Nothing will excite me more than seeing his one handed MJ pump fake against a defender. Yes, Kawow, bring those hands to me.... _________________ I miss you Kobe. I miss you Gigi. |

I read the Nets are in play as well.
They literally have unlimited cap space next season and can a field a superteam. |

When was the last time they signed a max player in free agency? |

There's literally no such thing as unlimited cap space in the NBA. |

Why is a Nets fan posting in a Lakers forum with a Kawhi Leonard username? |

As it sits now. If Leonard (or any player) is willing to sign with the Clippers or Nets when the Lakers are also a choice deserves the misery that will surely befall him.
Enjoy life with those teams and the Lakers will look elsewhere.
I'm sorry but if anyone truly believes the Lakers have to trade for Leonard now "because he may choose another team" then why would you risk trading for him in the first place? |

He/she does seem to inject the Nets (and their players) into discussions that don't involve them.
