Quote: | NASCAR CEO and Chairman Brian France was arrested for aggravated driving while intoxicated and criminal possession of a controlled substance, according to a Sag Harbor Village (New York) Police Department news release.
According to a news release, France was arrested at 7:30 p.m. Sunday night, held overnight and arraigned Monday morning at the Sag Harbor Village Justice Court, where he was released on his own recognizance. |

I doubt he would have been arrested in Daytona. |

in other NASCAR news, really hope Truex inks his deal with FFR. Can't have a past Champion without a seat next season. |

I think it probably would be in the best interest of the sport. They were very fortunate in many ways to have charismatic drivers in recent decades upon whose back's they built an empire......but the sport is bleeding fans right now at a rate that I am not sure we have seen in any other large entertainment sport. I think removing the sport from family ownership and allowing a new vision may be the best option because there is not a Dale Earnhardt III climbing into a car anytime soon. |
