His move from the Dodgers may be confusing to newer fans, but Magic has always been a Laker, the only team he's ever played for. And yes, he's unreal.

Yeah, Kareem was pretty cool

I mean, it is pretty awesome that Kobe was a Laker.

Yeah, glad that Magic was a Laker

EXACTLY....thank you for saying that. How about the people here that were calling Magic an idiot, a dummy, making dumb decisions, etc. Where are these people now??

I mean, how could this not be seen as anything other than the Best Move Ever!!!!! In a long, long, long time......and we thought getting Gasol was great. Wow.

They're busy in other threads talking about losing Randle for nothing and how D'LO is going to explode this year.

Magic got LeBron. Our new jerseys are 💰. It's been a great summer.

Love seeing Kuz and BI working with LeBron. Excited to see the videos over the next couple days with J Hart, Wagner, Lonzo*, etc being there.

LeBron’s lifting regiment focuses on lower repetitions, higher weight exercises to increase his strength, power, explosiveness, and overall performance capacity. He makes sure to layer in variable routines that challenge his body — a key to generating new muscle.

I’ve mentioned his trainer Mike Mancias multiple times now and other members of his team include:
•Donnie Raimon, the former Navy SEAL who serves as his biomechanist
•A team of physical coaches and trainers, and personal chefs and masseuses (his own and the Lakers, led by Gunnar Peterson)
•From a business and personal perspective — LeBron has his trusted agent Rich Paul and business manager Maverick Carter to handle all business matters. His wife, Savannah, takes care of all family matters in the interim.

LeBron’s durability and ability to perform at this level for this long is a testament to how committed and dedicated he is to short, medium, and long-term proactive and preventative care. It isn’t some inexplicable mystery.

Many other players and teammates have commented on how LeBron prioritizes his rest, recovery, and health over anything else.

I have no doubt these efforts have an impact, but I would be interested in some type of informed estimate on the overall impact on performance/injury reduction. These efforts are likely fractional compared to his genetics, and even good fortune....but even if it only has a 3% impact on keeping him healthy, it is probably well worth the cost for him.

Did you read the whole article? The habits he's built are the whole reason he's still able to play at a superstar level after all these years. It truly is around the clock covering every base of his physical well being in and out of the season. Proper nutrition, strength training, SLEEP, recovery, more strength training, sleep, post workout meal etc. You think that only has a minuscule impact on his physical condition?

How many guys with gifted genes have you seen wash out of the NBA, NFL, any sport due to lackluster work ethic and recovery? This is like saying Kobe's otherworldly training mayyyyy have a 4 percent impact on his overall output.

That’s why the NBA fans and the NBA in general can’t stand us, we find ways to get the top stars, even if it takes a little while.

The Lakers Alltime team is absolutely overkill.

Magic
Kobe
LeBron
Kareem
Shaq

Geez and that's just the starting 5

I did, but the mistake your making is thinking 4% is "minuscule". Also, the statement, "The habits he's built are the whole reason he's still able to play at a superstar level after all these years", is subjective at best.....the statement simply cannot be proven true. We may not like it, but genetics and like I said, simple good fortune are far more important in performing at high level without injury than these additional efforts, nonetheless a 3,4 or 5% improvement is drastic and well worth the effort. Kobe was a force when it came to training and recovery....very similar to Lebron.....but in the end he was tripped up by poor fortune and lesser physical genetics than Lebron. His injuries was not a result of a lack of training and recovery, and their toll was not a result of a lack of desire. Finally, there are athletes that have utilized very different tactics than Lebron and have also played at the highest levels in their sport at an age older than Lebron.

I would start Wilt over Shaq. Shaq would be too slow in today’s NBA to keep up with a death lineup like the Warriors. At least compared to Wilt.

Wilt just as dominate in strength and track star speed.

More interesting question is, what would be your all time top 5 Laker role player lineup?

Or better yet, all time bench player top 5 Laker lineup?

Let your friend know its going to take roughly 20 years of very demanding workout and dietary regimen. Along with hundreds and thousands of dollars of training, high tech machinery, and other futuristic methods that we peasants in the real world likely aren’t yet aware of.....

Or steroids.
...

...

Which I don’t condone.
