I like the Beasley signing just because he won’t be with OKC.
Beasley was the Melonthat OKC needed. _________________ |

in my opinion...Beasley signing was logical.....Lance, not so much at this point. |
Stephenson gonna prove you guys wrong |
but even if he plays well there's just no meaningful minutes around for him and he really doesnt offer anything that Hart or KCP cant do. |
He can offer what both of guys don’t have... playoff experience. |
KCP played in playoffs with Detroit. |
Yeah, but Lance has been apart of Pacers team that went to the ECF, so he knows winning. |

Based on Klutch, wished that Noel would have come here for the minimum. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

I just checked, Noel signed with the Thunder after a few days of FA, it looked them showing interest in him quickly pretty much sealed the deal.. |

I also read that he declined better offers to play in OKC, we never had a chance to get him unless we called him in the 1st few days of FA and made a aggressive play. |

Strange b/c he's stuck behind Adams there who plays 33mpg and is the unquestioned center.
At least here he had a chance to earn more minutes. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

If a job was offered in the 1st few days wouldn’t you be appreciated despite the fact that you had better options? |

my thoughts also....I have wondered if he wanted to avoid the microscope of Lebron and Rich Paul....like as in dude is just not committed, and knew that would not go over well with Paul always around the Lakers. |

Michael Beasley – The Lakers’ Secret Weapon
Quote: | For his career, he has per-36 minute statistics of 19.5 points, 7.4 rebounds, two assists, and almost a steal and a block per game.
Assuming he gets minutes in the mid-teens, its possible he averages close to 10 points and four rebounds a contest in 2018-19. This is huge, as it gives the Lakers another source of offense while the starters are resting.
At 6-foot-9 and about 240 pounds, B-Easy is large enough to be a small forward, power forward, or even a small-ball center. Beasley is athletic enough to run and floor and use his speed against slower opponents while also overpowering lighter players.
He is a perfect example of Magic Johnson and Rob Pelinka’s vision of an individual who can play multiple positions and switch off defensively at any given time. |

not the first boneheaded signing decision he made after refusing to sign a pretty decent 70mil contract from the Mavs... I wonder if he still has the same agent _________________ (bleep) Kawhi |

ohhhh, now we know why beasley signed. lol. Thanks Norm

Quote: | Beasley has been working out with his mentor and personal trainer, former NBA guard Norm Nixon, in Los Angeles. Some onlookers have said that Beasley was the recent star of some traditional summer pro pickup games at UCLA.
|
Quote: | Nixon was very professional as a ball player, and apparently he has taken Beasley under his wing, Coro reported earlier this summer.
It would not be the image of Beasley taking a stretching exercise class at Nixon’s Debbie Allen Dance Academy this morning in Los Angeles. His missteps are scenes far removed from how Nixon has become like a father to Beasley in the past year, taking him to his first plays, working him out and arranging trips they will take together to England and China. |

I’m assuming Norm Nixon was a talented scorer, so this is great news for us as he can learn from a former talented scorer. |

Micheal Beasley:
Quote: | “As of now, we’re out, according to all the polls. Rightfully so. But I think we’re a team that will be able to decide our own fate by how hard we work and how much we’re willing to sacrifice physically and mentally.
I’m not going to put my foot in my mouth and say we’re going to win 25 championships or 75 games, no. But I’m confident that we got a group of guys that wants to play basketball the right way, wants to win and work hard.
With that being said, I think we can be exactly where we want to be at the end of the year.” |

Yep. I like Lance more than most fans seem to like the guy, but, we had no particular need for him, especially with KCP coming back. Seems like a bit of an overreaction to our dearth of availble SFs when Ingram was hurt last year and Hart was forced to play at the 3 certain games. It's understandable. But, would have been much better roster balance to keep Brook around for that same money.
Lopez-McGee-Zubacs with Wagner getting spot minutes at the 4 and 5 would be pretty good overall. Plenty of options and experience plus Brook's perimeter shooting. |

I am both very excited for the new season and dreading it at the same time. There is so much possibility in terms of young players breaking out after a summer of hard work and the old crazy uncles finally getting their act together. It will be fun to see which come true and a disappointment to see which fall by the wayside. _________________ “When the debate is lost, slander becomes the tool of the loser.”
