I have no respect for KellyAnn or Sanders who knowingly lie to America and hope they get what the deserve. Its really sickening to see a leader who lies and the people who protect him. Fox is as big as a culprit to spread the lies. And the worst thing are the millions of people who has complete blind faith in him.

What's troubling to me, Trump's every day personal problems leaves little time for him to run the country, or so it seems. He's passing back room legislation with little resistance. People are so focused on him they're not paying much attention to what he's doing. It would not surprise me if he contested the 22nd amendment.
not true at all. we hear about and see everything he's doing. not just the dumb stuff he does that has nothing to do with the country as a whole. we see everything. nothing is getting past us at this very moment in regards to him. but thats not going to mean much since you have a republican congress that allows his agenda to continue. so in reality it wont matter if we see it or not. we can't do anything about. we being those that dont vote red. It's up to those red voters in those red states to vote out the idiots that allow this idiot to do the things he does.

FiveThirtyEight just updated forecasting the race for the House. Great news for Democrats. Chance Democrats win control (75.4%).

The Trump administration has reportedly reversed an Obama-era framework for how and when the US can use cyber attacks against foes. President Trump undid Presidential Policy Directive 20 yesterday according to the Wall Street Journal's sources, and with it reversed a classified framework detailing a multi-agency process that must be followed before carrying out an attack.

The directive was put in place to prevent against bungling multi-year cyber-espionage plans that may be in motion, thus having many agencies involved with the planning process of any attack.

"It wasn't clear what rules the administration is adopting to replace the Obama directive," WSJ writes. "A number of current US officials confirmed the directive had been replaced but declined to comment further, citing the classified nature of the progress."

The moves to undo the directive apparently began in April when John Bolton took up the mantle of national security advisor. The previous administration's cybersecurity coordinator Michael Daniel described the directive to the WSJ as "designed to ensure that all appropriate equities got considered when you thought about doing an offensive cyber operation."

There's a worry that the directive was dismantled too quickly, and as a result people are concerned because the Trump administration hasn't outlined its replacement to those involved. Given this administration's history of putting laws into place seemingly without considering the consequences, coupled with Trump's contempt for the intelligence community, the lawmakers' concerns aren't unfounded.

This is perfectly fine. No need for any sort of plan when it comes to cyber warfare

He probably wants to use it against the Washington Post/CNN/NY Times et al.

They already have a blackwater operation to scour for anti trump people on the internet I have heard.

Furious Trump told advisers that he wants Jeff Sessions to arrest Omarosa over her book: report

Quote:
A new report from Vanity Fair’s Gabriel Sherman claims that President Donald Trump now wants to see estranged aide Omarosa Manigault-Newman arrested over her recently published book.

According to one of Sherman’s sources, “Trump told advisers that he wants Attorney General Jeff Sessions to have Manigault Newman arrested” despite the fact that “it’s unclear what law Trump believes she broke.”

One former Trump White House official said that Trump’s fury at Omarosa was setting him on a “death spiral” similar to the one that engulfed his campaign in the summer of 2016 when he attacked a Gold Star father who was critical of his proposal to ban Muslims from entering the United States.

Two former White House officials also tell Sherman that Omarosa has been masterful in the roll out of her book, as it seems her every move is designed purposefully to make Trump explode with rage.

“She is doing everything perfect if her ultimate goal is to troll Trump,” one official explained.

Stripping critics of credentials, making enemies lists, threatening to jail political critics --- this is not normal unless you want to live in a fascist authoritarian regime.

This is why Trump supports the horrible people like Arpaio and all the local police.. They will do dirty (bleep) that isn't caught on Federal levels

Like troll a stipclub and arrest Stormy Daniels

omarosa better hang with a gang of people from here on out.. local police lock her ass up for something

Trump watches too many movies.. He hopes they can lock her up and then find the other tapes...

Trump keeps playing chicken with China. And our market has beaten theirs. We are "winning" the trade war.
But China isn't a market economy. They can use "opaque measures" to keep their economy in the green waaay past midterms.
And now WE have to try and convince Mexico and Europe to have a united economic front against China (with us). Thank goodness Trump has planned ahead and gone out of his way to appease those nations .

I'm not rooting against Trump's economic policy. I don't WANT it to fail. Because it'll hurt everyday Americans more than the rich. But Trump has a limited, short-sided perspective when it comes to our global economy. And sooner or later, we'll have to pay the piper.

The plan, effective immediately, covers all current and future students. Annual tuition is roughly $55,000

About 62 percent of N.Y.U.’s School of Medicine graduates leave with some debt; the average debt incurred by members of the class of 2017 was $184,000.

Turns out that exacting retribution on much-admired former public servant out of pure spite might have unintended consequences -- like triggering more public criticism, not less.

Washington Post: Revoke my security clearance, too, Mr. President

Quote:
William H. McRaven, a retired Navy admiral, was commander of the U.S. Joint Special Operations Command from 2011 to 2014. He oversaw the 2011 Navy SEAL raid in Pakistan that killed al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden.

Dear Mr. President:

Former CIA director John Brennan, whose security clearance you revoked on Wednesday, is one of the finest public servants I have ever known. Few Americans have done more to protect this country than John. He is a man of unparalleled integrity, whose honesty and character have never been in question, except by those who don’t know him.

Therefore, I would consider it an honor if you would revoke my security clearance as well, so I can add my name to the list of men and women who have spoken up against your presidency.

Quote:
Your leadership, however, has shown little of these qualities. Through your actions, you have embarrassed us in the eyes of our children, humiliated us on the world stage and, worst of all, divided us as a nation.

If you think for a moment that your McCarthy-era tactics will suppress the voices of criticism, you are sadly mistaken. The criticism will continue until you become the leader we prayed you would be.

And then there's this. BOOM.

NYT by John Brennan: President Trump’s Claims of No Collusion Are Hogwash

Quote:
In my many conversations with James Comey, the F.B.I. director, in the summer of 2016, we talked about the potential for American citizens, involved in partisan politics or not, to be pawns in Russian hands. We knew that Russian intelligence services would do all they could to achieve their objectives, which the United States intelligence community publicly assessed a few short months later were to undermine public faith in the American democratic process, harm the electability of the Democratic candidate, Hillary Clinton, and show preference for Mr. Trump. We also publicly assessed that Mr. Putin’s intelligence services were following his orders. Director Comey and I, along with the director of the National Security Agency, Adm. Michael Rogers, pledged that our agencies would share, as appropriate, whatever information was collected, especially considering the proven ability of Russian intelligence services to suborn United States citizens.

The already challenging work of the American intelligence and law enforcement communities was made more difficult in late July 2016, however, when Mr. Trump, then a presidential candidate, publicly called upon Russia to find the missing emails of Mrs. Clinton. By issuing such a statement, Mr. Trump was not only encouraging a foreign nation to collect intelligence against a United States citizen, but also openly authorizing his followers to work with our primary global adversary against his political opponent.

Such a public clarion call certainly makes one wonder what Mr. Trump privately encouraged his advisers to do — and what they actually did — to win the election. While I had deep insight into Russian activities during the 2016 election, I now am aware — thanks to the reporting of an open and free press — of many more of the highly suspicious dalliances of some American citizens with people affiliated with the Russian intelligence services.

Mr. Trump’s claims of no collusion are, in a word, hogwash.

Quote:
Mr. Trump clearly has become more desperate to protect himself and those close to him, which is why he made the politically motivated decision to revoke my security clearance in an attempt to scare into silence others who might dare to challenge him. Now more than ever, it is critically important that the special counsel, Robert Mueller, and his team of investigators be allowed to complete their work without interference — from Mr. Trump or anyone else — so that all Americans can get the answers they so rightly deserve.

And the Republican Party, including long-time Senators who should know better, are 100% complicit in Trump's fascist attack on Democracy:

Quote:
Ali Rogin Verified account @AliABCNews

.@senorrinhatch on Trump revoking John Brennan security clearance: "I’m surprised it took him so long. Brennan has not been a friend of the administration at all."

Senator Orrin Hatch, supporter of fascism as long as his party benefits.

Our government has not been effective in the areas of cyber security even though they have published security practices ISO 9000 I believe that should be followed.

The Obama executive order was a first stab on how to fight against and attack and when to go on offense. In these situations you need to react very quickly to the attack which is hard to do when 20 agencies are required to coordinate.

This should not be a political issue as cyber security evolves very quickly and new challenges and criminals cyber gangs emerge regularly and those bad actors continue to innovate so they can exploit our defenses.

Hillary and the Democrats in congress all had cyber issues due to lax security and for not following basic security practices. Unfortunately they are not alone

When Trump is proven guilty he's going to pull out his last crime against American by declaring his followers that this is a coup and pick up arms. This might ignite a small civil war.

Yay? I’m all for free tuition programs, but should we start with people who are going to be earning many multiples of the median income?
