Awesome. This type of stuff is absolutely priceless for a young player/team. |
Yup. Every young player is coming out of this season much smarter and with more tools |
Young players usually don't find defense sexy but Rondo is seducing them with his D. |
I get what you mean, but I wouldn't necessarily look at it that way. The Lakers were one of the youngest teams in the league last year and finished in the too half for defensive efficiency after being in the top 10 for most of the year. With our young guys, it's more about learning than desire. The desire was already there before Rondo came. But I do think that guys like he and LeBron will help them take the next step because of the immensity of their IQ’s. _________________ “Christ did not die to forgive sinners who go on treasuring anything above seeing and savoring God. So freaking glad we got Rondo just think about the dozen of garbage back up PGs we had to deal with in recent years..
Huertas
Ronnie Price
Tyler Ennis
Steve Black
You might appreciate the signing even more when you look at that list. |

At this point, I'm not sure if Lonzo could even last a full season without incurring an injury. He's still a boy to me. He needs to bulk up that teenager body of his otherwise he's gonna get hurt again. |
I think a better alternative is to start Ball during the season and then put Rondo on the starting line up once the playoffs start. |
Lonzo will start...Rondo will close. They Lakers should have no intention of having their vets log 30+ minutes per game except for LBJ and he should average around 32 except in big games.
Keep the vets fresh for the playoffs...let the kids do the regular season heavy lifting. _________________ "If You're Afraid To Fail...Then You're Probably Going To Fail."

I think a vet like Tondo is going to be saved for the playoffs. Ball may start most of the year and Rondo basically take over in the playoffs. |

I don't think it's necessary to view it that way. Once you get to the big stage I believe it's best to just stick to what got you there. The worst time of year to change things and force your players to readjust to those changes is during the playoffs. Again, just stick to what got you there. Keep it simple. _________________ “Christ did not die to forgive sinners who go on treasuring anything above seeing and savoring God. I was listening to Lakers talk and Rondo made it clear he wants to play with Lebron when it told Hollins (former nba player) that. _________________ Coach Vogel, Kidd, Hollins

I'm sure hearing this makes Pelican fans feel great lol. _________________ “Christ did not die to forgive sinners who go on treasuring anything above seeing and savoring God. And people who would be happy in heaven if Christ were not there, will not be there."

Joel Meyers said the Pels wanted him back but it was clear he wanted to leave regardless of how much they offers him.

So glad he choose us over the Pelicans, that makes me feel good as a Laker fan, Beasley also did the same by choosing the Lakers over the Thunder. |

Maybe, but the Pelicans paid him $3.3M last year. We gave him $9M. I'm cynical about the motivations of players. |

What players want or dont’t want is not part of what I tried to say, what I mean is that it will be easier for the Lakers to get guys because of having so much talent on the roster and a FO that is bound to be one of the best and smartest in the league. |

Don't we have a Rondo/Lebron/free agency thread this can merge into? |

Pels was willing to pay him that but Rondo agent wouldn’t give them a number and told them they have one chance to offer and there won’t be any negotiating. They also gave the Pels 5 mins to do all of that. The _________________ Coach Vogel, Kidd, Hollins
