I wouldnt say Manu... totally different styles of players.
I'll go with an elite 3 point shooter with a little slashing ability mixed in while not being a big liability on the defensive side... Korver 3.0?

He's the one player on the team that projects to be an elite shooter. If the team struggles as badly as it did last year at shooting the ball, he'll definitely get minutes.

After one good summer league he's been compared to HOF players and GOAT shooter contenders....

I don't know if this is a good thing or sad

I see some Miller in Svi. Killer shooter, able to put the ball on the floor and make plays.

Korver is strictly a catch/shoot guy.

He showed impressive potential in Summer League. More well rounded then most expected. But is it realistic to expect him to get much playing time?

The way the roster is constructed I would be surprised if he can get any consistent playing time unless something goes wrong. Injury, bad chemistry or perhaps a mid season trade may open up playing time for him.

I expect him to get lots of G-League assignments and some exciting end of the bench in a suit moments. Only 12 players suit up, who is he earning time over at SG/SF if all is going well?

IMO his bigger value is to continue to develop and be a key bench player next year when the roster loses the one year rentals.

the question we should ask is will he be allowed to practice a lot. A lot of fans think thats a given. but its not. When you're very low on the roster you usually dont practice with the team as much as the players who will be playing. So the least amt of practice time you get it makes it that much harder for you to prove yourself to the coaching staff.
Because if he is as good as we think he is and he gets a good chunk of practice time. He's going to steal someone's mins. Because he can reallly shoot. without being a complete liability on defense and while also having the ability to do other things on offense aside from just shooting.

I think it will depend on how we shoot as a team. If we are the 29th ranked shooting team again like last season then he could start getting playing time.

Jimmer's size always worked against him.

Svi is what, 6'7, maybe 6'8?

Yep: 6' 6.5' w/o shoes, 6' 7.75'' with shoes.

Wow. What a find. Sadly Lance will take his minutes this year. But looking forward to him in the future.

We have Hart/Kuz/Svi under contract for less than 5m combined in 2019 IIRC.

This dude just keeps putting up numbers, he did it in the summer league and now he’s doing it against talented players.

Svi will be the Lakers secret weapon this season.

As the best shooter on the team and the space created by Lebron, he is going to hit some big time shots.

Lance should not play over him if Svi is better.

100

We'll have to see how his D is, but there's no reason for him not to get 10-12 minutes a game as it currently is so see if he can drill a couple of 3's for us on a hyper tempo 2nd unit.
