This is sad and unfortunate. Prayers go out to rich Jefferson family
Also....We need more gun laws in California. The way we police drugs and traffic tickets in this country should be the same exact effort on guns

First off.... condolences to RJ and the family and friends of the deceased.
But I got to be THAT guy and ask/wonder why his Pops is in front of a liquor store... in Compton... at night?
I grew up and STILL live in a neighborhood where we would hear frequent shootings and the helicopter above almost every week. My parents refused to move from "home" but luckily the city has gotten a lot better.
But when you're in that situation, you learn to MITIGATE risk. Take away some of those dangerous variables and you give yourself better odds of not getting caught up in some BS like this.
Yes, this could happen to anyone at anytime in any place... and if not him it would have been someone else. But damn... RIP.
