Gotcha.

I now see how I wasn't clear.

Let me rephrase that:

In my opinion, on the patience scale, they'd rather give their patience to the other 5 young players.

And I'll add this disclaimer, just to be perfectly clear for you so that I don't mislead you or any other poster on here:

And everything I've ever posted on here and moving forward, is only my opinion.

I do not have any insider Laker info. I've never talked Magic Johnson, Rob Pelinka, Luke Walton. I do not have their phone numbers, emails, nor their addresses.

I've not had any contact with any scouts who work for the Lakers.

Any and all statements I make on here are of my own opinion. I do not claim that I know anything more than any other poster on here.

I come here merely to express my own personal opinions. I have no professional training in basketball. I have never held a job in any front office capacity in any professional sports league.

I do not claim that my opinion is qualified in any way. It is just merely my own personal unqualified opinion.

Now, should I repeat this after every statement I make?

Still has to actually catch the ball, not react two seconds after plays happen, etc.

I'm not sure what catching the ball has to do with experience. At the pro level you should be able to do something as basic as catching the ball, unless you're just plagued by small hands like Kwame. But his late reactions are more about poor instincts.

Anyway, his two blocks tonight were GREAT. He's not going to play a lot of minutes, but that's what they need from him when he's out there.

Oh, but it has everything to do with experience - knowing your teammates, knowing when and what to expect...

And he missed the time with this team when he played for his country.

Zubac seems to take long to adjust to a team around him. It was the case last year too.
A bit sad, I expected him to do better, but he might still get in sync with the rest.

I thought Zubac looked good tonight. Complete 180 from what I saw the last 2 games.

I like Angry Zubac.

We need this from him every game.

Too bad he only got 6 minutes playing time.

Those two blocks were nice.

The second one where he got the block, then ran full court in transition and got the dunk on the other end was a great transition and bodes well for him.

It sucks Luke didn't utilize him more. We need Zu to get into his rhythm with us, Luke is doing him no favors right now.

Even still, was good to see what he did while he was out there.

Very smooth offensively 2 games ago. Last night, he showed he can play on the other side of the ball. The kid is going to be fine. Why is he not getting minutes while BI, Kuz, and Josh played over 30 minutes. Luke's minute distribution was ridiculous. The Kings played their bench and were not trying to win (although they should have won anyways).

This has been a 3 season problem... starting to think it isn't going to change.

Zu needs a Cerano moment and say, “F U Jobu, I do it myself.” We need the hulk, Zu. Everything you got, right out the gates. Be ready at all times to have your number called. Hunger, Zu. Remember what it took to get here. Amplify that sht.

I'd say it definitely changed from year 1 to year 2. Still room for improvement of course.

Zu will be fine.

Walton seems focused on getting regulars into a flow right now.

Zu has looked better each game and just needs some time to settle down.

At some point the will realize the need some size and muscle in the post and Zu can provide that.

He looks much quicker and stronger and confident in his offensive moves. He is out there with Stephenson as the point guard so there are going to be issues.

Defense looks okay when he is playing it straight up but he has a long way to go on making the right decision on switching.

Remember he is only 21 and has not been force fed like some of the others.

I get that he is not a positionless type of player but you always need someone to play the 5 and Zu can be that guy.

When we need to match up against big guys Kuz at the 5 will be eaten for lunch and they will need Zu to come in. Right now they need to see how he does in the post so the minutes for Zu are scarce right now. I think that will change as the season progresses.

For his salary of roughly 1.5 million, if they get 10-15 good minutes a game, I think they will be satisfied. The question I think really is how many quality minutes is MCGee going to play? If he can now play play 25 minutes or so, they may not need Zubac as much.

To me, the guys I worry more about producing for their contract size are KCP, Lance, and Beasley. Zu will be fine, he may not be in our long term plans, but I have tried not to fret on young lower paid players. If we get more than 6-8 points a game from him, I think he exceeds expectations.

The best players play over 30mpg. And it hasn’t been a 3 season problem when three seasons ago our highest player minute was was 29.

The problems with Zu, imo could have been easily predicted watching him these two years. I was shocked we signed him instead of T Bryant or Lopez.

Was hopeing I was wrong, still could be but he is playing exactly like I thought he would. I consider it irresponsible for the front office to have our center rotation as it is.

According to Luke Zubac was struggling in the first two games because of an illness.

Zubac has lots to work on, but he at least seems to have the potential to defend the rim and rebound well in 10-15 minutes a game.

Tonight he had 6 rebounds in 13 minutes, which is real good. I really liked that sequence in the 4th quarter when he denied multiple attempts at the rim one after another.
