Jimmy was packing to leave Kim. I think she'll help him with his appeal and heal their relationship. I think he'll win the appeal and he will become Saul full time. Werner's blown it. Seems that puts Mike between a rock and a hard place. He can't kill Ziegler. If he did who has the expertise to finish the job?
If I have it right there are 10 episodes in season 4. We've seen 9. Next week should be a doozy. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

the werner scenes were tense. what exactly is going on with him??? how can he not see the extreme danger in what he's doing..did he get stir crazy? did he think they were gonna kill him? and what in god's name is mike going to do to him...no half measures....
i like the new actor from the salamanca crew...those crazy salamancas
rewatching "the wire" such a good show |
Twi theories I have seen about Werner that are not mutually exclusive. One, he is worried that he and/or his men might be killed. Two, he has terminal illness (cancer?) and took this job to get a final pay day for his family, and now that the job will be taking much more time than anticipated he is anxious to get back to his wife before he passes. He was talking about the legacy a man leaves behind in an earlier episode. |

wow great episode somewhere at the tail end of jimmy's speech i realized he wasn't being completely sincere and hamming it up lol wait but he had an honest breakdown in the car rt..maybe he used those recollections of chuck where he did care about him "in his own way" and just not as a lawyer during his statement.
damn lalo (sp?) is a really good psychopath lol michael going full macGyver with his gum..werner bathing and basking in the sun one last time as his last words to his wife are filled with pseudo anger (reminded me of walt on the phone to skylar while the cops were listening)
loved it gonna be a tough wait for it to come back....eh itsaulgoodman
i feel like this was as much about a test of Micheal's loyalty and ability to sacrifice to Gus....i mean did they really have to kill him? he only discussed the plans with 2 people /s |

Werner's death hit me harder than Hank dying. He died with integrity, honesty, and ethics (ignoring his participation the bloody drug trade). He was even considerate in his final moments, in that once he received Mike's assurance that no other outcome would be possible, he marched into the desert without begging or becoming a blubbering mess.
BTW for fun, everyone should re-watch Saul's debut season on Breaking Bad. There's something very different about that version of the character. The voice is more coarse, and Jimmy is terribly brash in a contemptible, fiendish way. He evens out to the more mellow soul that we know from BCS. It's kind of a weird season 1 Homer Simpson type thing going on. _________________ "All wars are civil wars, because all men are brothers."

yeah Werner def took it like a man. it's so sad...i imagine mike doesn't make friends like that too often, but at the same time how does werner not realize his buddy mike is a peon for a boss and how much effort went into everything and that it might just not be in mike's hand what happens to him...
reminds me of how mike died...what did he tell Walt, shut the hell up and let me die
i think kai ended up being a good red herring for me, i was able to see mike and werners friendship grow without imagining the worst case scenarios lol |

Is the new engineer the one who was at the road side with the WELCOME ABOARD sign? I'm wondering if this is a suicide job. How are they going to keep the lab a secret if they don't off everybody? _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Since Werner escaped and made it to town he would be able to tell people where the lab is. The others never went out so all they know is that there is a lab somewhere within a large radius of whatever airport they came in to. Hopefully that makes them safe. |

The season ended well with a number of strong episodes. I thought the first few episodes were weaker with montages taking up too much time to cover the fact that there wasn't enough material for 10 episodes. But the last handful were great.
This last episode was fantastic. My favorite moment came at the end when Kim realized who she's dealing with. Even though she helped him to fake his grief and even worked with him in various scams, he was so good at that hearing that she actually bought his grief as genuine. And then he comes out and starts celebrating. We've been asking for a while when the Kim/Jimmy thing would end. I think we just saw it. It's All Good Man. _________________ ¡Hala Madrid!

Additionally, Werner was the only one of the construction crew who met Fring. He had to go to keep Fring's cover as a legitimate businessman. Also, Fring couldn't take the chance Lalo Salamanca would track Werner down and get more details about the construction project if they let him go. Lalo already had his name and face. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant |

That scene where Mike shook Lalo's tail by jamming up the parking gate with gum was so great. When we first meet Mike in BCS he was working as a parking attendant so you know where he likely thought up that trick. Secondly, Lalo's reaction was so typical of what we expect from a Salamanca. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant |

That's why I like the discussion portion of the BCS thread. I get the connections I miss. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Perhaps to develop the BB movie? _________________ You thought God was an architect, now you know

They always take long breaks between seasons, I want to say around 16 months. I don't mind because it's always worth the wait. |

I'm pumped. This is one of the few shows that I watch every episode the night it premieres and the next night. It's so good and the little details are often lost on me the first viewing. |

It's weird that, to me, they're so hard to compare considering they have a lot of the same characters. But they are very different and I do prefer BCS as well. |

Same. BCS lost quite a bit without Chuck. _________________ KOBE |
