Larry Nance Jr = max money? Wow.

He won't get the max. That's just the most he could possibly make.

Quote:
Nance has played three seasons, and the Cavs can offer him a four-year extension to the final year of his existing contract. Technically, the first year of the extension could be worth about $25 million -- a max salary -- but that's not the number Nance will reach.

Nance was such an underrated passer: https://twitter.com/MZavagno11/status/1049462825939283968

Seriously, another great late pick by the Lakers draft team. Sadly sacrificed because Mitch and Jim overpaid a solid, but far lesser draft find in Jordan Clarkson.

He was sacrificed by Magic and Pelinka. They first tried stuffing him down our throats and then bailed on him.

wish we could have somehow kept him with that trade. I considered him part of the young core.

The one part of the trade I hated. $2.2M for Larry is a steal. He'd also be our best 2nd string C on the team.

We should have traded Randle with Clarkson, got maybe an extra asset back. Resigned Nance this off season and (bleep) woulda been nice

If we didn't get LeBron, would you rather sign Randle or Nance? I'd take Randle

Randle but I'm speaking in hindsight. I see why the FO did what they did when they did what they did.

Randle would have only fetched us a second round pick according to all reports while Nance got us a 1st. I guess in retrospect we could have kept Nance and tried to dump Clarkson alone or even keep both guys since we only signed one max.

But I agree, Nance would be very nice right now. His small cap hold would have been very helpful for the 2019 FA.

I always remind myself how nice Nance would have been on this team with elite passers giving him easy looks for layups and alleyloop dunks.. he could have been a good fit and could have played a nice role on this team.

Congrats to Larry, probably a bit of an overpay for a guy who will only give you about 20 min a game, but he plays hard and seems like a good dude. Really the only player we’ve let go the past two years that is like to have back.

I know you worship at the altar of Jim/Mitch, but stop.

Cleveland seems to be over paying everyone, is Jim Buss consulting for them?
