although I would prefer someone like Woods as I addressed in earlier post, I would be ok with Aldrich on our bench. A big body that can at least provide resistance at the rim. I am honestly not sure what our plan is when we play against teams with true big men when Javale is not on the court. Jokic had his way with us when Javale was not on the court. |

What is Aldrich up to anyways?
I'd be fine with him to take up 12-14mpg as a backup.
Nothing inspiring but a stopgap. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

The Randle/AD front court is going to feast on us unless Lebron/Vale play big minutes. |

As of October 2nd- waived by Hawks, expected to sign with a team in China, NBA career likely over.
Looking at his stats the last couple years he has been limited to only a couple mpg behind KAT and Dieng. Last season only played 21 games, so maybe an injury?
Not to be overly critical or picky but not overly inspiring. |

Why not give Christian Wood a look when released? Guy looked solid in SL, and his boxscore looked great last night (I have only seen highlights).

I think he could be worth it from a talent standpoint - assuming he's matured a bit - but he doesn't really address the team's need for a big body. _________________ Under New Management |

6'11" with a 7'3" wingspan....known to be an aggressive shot blocker, and has some gravity out to the 3 point line. I assume you are referring to him being slim? |

Not sure how much it matters but as of 2 days ago Wood is expected to make the Bucks roster. At least by this one Bucks reporter's opinion at least.
Interesting comments on his strengths and weaknesses. Seems a nice addition for the Lakers offense but still the same negative issues on defense and rebounding the Lakers currently have and are looking to avoid going into the season.

Yes, he's got a narrow frame that's somewhere between Ingram and McGee in terms of bulk and strength. _________________ Under New Management |

should have signed Monroe when we had a chance.
We need a back up for McGee, any other Center out there that can move fast?
I would go after whiteside if he wasn't a lazy Turd |

The Knicks sent him away rather than having him in their locker room. And Stephenson isn’t someone I would want in my locker room either. Maybe we are better off with what we have? _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

Maybe. We'll see how the Lakers center rotation works during the regular season pretty soon. _________________ Under New Management |

It will most likely be a weakness, as PG was for us last season. We aren’t a finished roster, the FO chose a potential hole this season for the opportunity for more cap space next offseason. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

interesting...the article does say if Wood makes the roster, then Tyler Zeller would likely be released. |

I think we would have made a move by now if the team wasn't going to give the small line-up a chance (with Beasley), and if necessary go big with Zu. I think if we're still struggling through 15 games then we might see something. IMO. |

2017: Rondo is a cancer... let's sign Ennis, what could go wrong?
2018: Dwight is a cancer... let's sign Noah, Aldrich, Wood...
SMH... the only thing worse than a bad attitude, is the complete absence of skill. Otherwise why not Sacre? |

Dwight and Rondo are completely different beasts. Rondo was a problem because he was competitive and didn’t think the coach was doing what was best for the team. Then he was in Sacramento, enough said. Dwight doesn’t play hard, he doesn’t care about winning, and treats the game as a hobby.
Not caring about winning is different from butting heads with a coach. Get over Dwight, dude can’t win and is bouncing around lottery teams for a reason. |

Dwight's market value in 2010-2015 about 20 million
Dwight's market value in 2018... 5 million
Cole Aldrich averaged only 9 points a game in college. Sure he's a decent player that can get some rebounds and make his free throws, but he pales in comparison to even a Dwight hobbled by age and injury.
If we had to pay 20 million... then yes that would be a bad idea... but at 5 million it would have helped.
So at his 2018 value... yes I would have signed him.
And Rondo averaged as many assists per 36 in 2017-2018 as he did in 2010. Zero risk as a backup to Lonzo. |

I agree with that distinction... and I agreed with Yinoma that Lopez would have been a good compromise choice. I just am annoyed that reserve centers have been having their way with us so far... if this changes once the season starts, then I will be fine with the center situation. |
