Svi has been taking contested shots. Get him some open looks in rhythm, he will start to bury them.

Wingspan does matter.

How much wingspan should a shooting guard have?

Lance is shooting considerably better from the field and the same from 3 so far. Let’s not let hatred for the player skew our ability to judge him, if he’s bricking shots than you have to admit Svi is bricking more, a lot more when you consider how many more 3s he’s taken. He won’t be playing PG in the regular season and won’t be stalling the offense like he is now. He’s also a much better defender than Svi at least right now.

Svi will get time sparingly throughout the year but Lance should and will play a lot more this year.

Absolutely....Lance will play much more than Svi...He does more things, playmaking, running the break etc. Svi is one dimensional at this point and will play sparingly...most of his run will be in the G-league.

Yeah he should stay in the GLeague . Even with injuries, we are loaded with perimeter players. At some point he will get his chance and he better be ready and make the most of it or he will not get past his rookie contract. I think he’s better than Sasha though.

I'm still going to hold out on Svi. I think he's better than some
think but he'll need to prove that on the court, of course.

Anyway, glad to to have the kid on the team wherever he plays
(g-league or NBA) this season.

Svi should model his game to Steve Kerr to be a contributor this year

He’s someone that need to be specialist to carve an NBA career. Let’s be real, If you aint gonna be a top 3 scoring option or a microwave off the bench then you might as well be some specialist. Spot up shooting is where I can see him excel.

He doesn’t look ready for nba speed and length, and there’s too many guys demanding minutes this season for him to be able to play through it. Just needs to keep homing his game and stay ready.

Horrible preseason but for some reason I’m not too concerned. Plenty of time to get things right.

Send him to the G-League and lock him in there, he hasn't looked good at all.

He either comes out of it a better player similar to Hart or he buckles, clearly has no confidence right now in what he's trying to do.

Patience is needed. Svi is nowhere near ready; Lance's minutes are safe

Awesome confidence game for Svi! You could pinpoint exactly the moment where Svi gained confidence this game and then became the player we saw in SL and what he can be for this team.

I knew all along it was just his nerves and lack of rhythm shots that made him look worse than he actually is. Damn good shooter, automatic at the line, and showed aggression with his drives and some flashes of good passing.

Once he gains that full confidence after some time in the g-League, he’s going to impact his way into the rotation towards the later half of the regular season. He’s going to be huge for this team.

Good game for Svi! Lebron had lots of pointers for him all throughout the game. I hope it pans out and Svi improves a lot more with experience.

Svi outplayed Klay, especially during the 2nd quarter. Klay kept iso-ing long bricks and couldn’t even guard Svi on the other end.

Very skilled guy, could play point in pinch. Has good defensive instincts.

I think the plan should be to get SVI ready for the rotation later in the season by giving him some good G League time. I think all he needs to do is find his confidence and aggressiveness which he can do in the G League.

He has an all round game but is a great shooter and his skill are perfect for this team. He is a 2-3 who can guard the 1-3 spots even with those short arms. If he has Bonga arms he would have been a top 10 pick.

From what I’ve seen, he has no issues with confidence and aggressiveness. His shots just weren’t landing.

Absolutely good game for Svi. How consistent can he be? That will determine IMO how much and when he’ll play
