The advantage would be speed. Frankly, I'm not sure Rondo is all that needed in the starting lineup. Ingram can do whatever secondary ball handling is needed, while an extra shooter in his place compliments Lebron better. |

I think Hart, and KCP are faster than Rondo. Maybe I just don't see it, but I can't think of a single reason why Rondo needs to be on the court with Ball. |

The added weight should really help him this year. If Lonzo can just become a respectable 3pt shooter it’ll go a long way for this team. |

Rondo good n all but tired of seeing rondo pass up open layups for a forced assist. Lonzo just off that is enough to be better option than rondo. Liked lonzos trusting his new stronger upper body. Gonna be huge for his confidence both defensively and offensively. |

Yep. Off ball with Aaron Holiday and even with Alford at times.
Nice UCLA backdoor dunks |
Lonzo “Like I said” “Do what I gotta do” Ball is right up there next to Brandon “Ofcourse” Ingram for me personally. _________________ “Life is too short. You have to keep it moving.” - Kobe |

The one play when he used his shoulder to create space to finish the drive is something he couldn't do last year. |

I thought he looked great for his first game...he's definitely faster than Rondo and can push it faster. He and LBJ already read each other pretty well...wait until they develop even more chemistry. It's going to be fun to watch. |

He's definitely faster than Rondo, and I don't even think he's running as fast as he can yet. Probably still getting into game shape. Dude is sneaky athletic. |

Rusty but his reads looked great, especially on defense. Doesn’t need to score much with this team, Lonzo gonna have a good yr |

Like i said
Lonzo is the better overall player now. He should start. That says something about how good he is that he's already better than Rondo. |

Having one of Lonzo/LBJ/Rondo at all times compared to Lonzo/Ennis/Caruso/JC last year...what a godsend. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

It was a pretty good game coming off of such a long injury, the form in his first three and second three was totally different though but that's to be expected.
The lob from Lebron to Lonzo is just a foreshadow of what's going to come, I think Lonzo is our third best overall athlete behind Bron and McGee. He didn't get many opportunities to showcase that last year but this year boy is gonna be catching some alleys for sure.
I think even though he's going to be our 2nd main ball handler next to Lebron, he will thrive in his off ball game almost as much as BI. This dude knows how to be in the right spots, last year we didn't have anyone to feed him. Our second best play maker was Ingram who was more of a read and react guy. This year Bron and Rondo can find him for plenty of easy shots before the defense gets set _________________ “Life is too short. You have to keep it moving.” - Kobe |

At this stage, Lonzo is a better overall player than Rondo. Especially on defense.
But his shooting did not look good. Airballs and clankers.
It will take time to adjust to shooting form. He should start looking at mid range jumpers first before going out to the 3 point line.
Also, work on FT shooting. |

Zo is such a good defender. It is so obvious we are much better on the perimeter and defending pick and rolls. I cant wait for him to get into game shape. He is already our 2nd best defender and will only get better as he gets that experience under his belt. It seems the national media doesnt recognize how good he is on defense listening to the commentators. Crazy how blind they are. |

I love the play where he gets the deflection and tags Klay in transition for BI to get to the basket. Thats winning basketball. Good stuff bro |

Appreciate it.
If there was an accounting stat for Lonzo Ball plays leading to a teammates score without an assist, he'd arguably lead the league. _________________ Resident Car Nut.

Lonzo is good but McGee is probably the best as of now. He's had two championship runs of doing that _________________ “Life is too short. You have to keep it moving.” - Kobe |

Great stuff, Mike, I'm a fan of your feed.
Did you have a chance to look at Lonzo's tracking on Curry in any detail? _________________ Under New Management

Awesome stuff. Zo won me over his first summer league game. He is unlike any player I have ever seen. The entire vibe of the team changes when he’s on the floor and unless you look at what happened through a microscope like Mike did for us it’s hard to understand. Dude was born to play team basketball.
It’s a breath of fresh air. |
