This was an interesting question brought up last night during the broadcast.

What do you all think?

My guess is:

Rondo, LBJ, Ingram, Kuzma, and KCP.

I think the first four are probably locks, though I could be wrong. Maybe Lance for D? Lonzo would give us an extra ballhandler and he is solid on defense.

Depends, I don't want Lebron or Kuzma playing center if we're playing Jokic, Embiid, Towns, etc. Golden State gets away with it because Green has an incredible and rare combination of length, a strong base and defensive IQ.

Other than LeBron, and perhaps Ingram, it may depend on matchups and how guys are playing rather than a standard 5.

We have a deep roster, but most of the guys are at about the same level. Hopefully, the young guys will show enough that they take the key roles and leave the one-year rental veterans on the bench

Good point. If that is the case, do you go with McGee?

I think Lonzo has to be there for his defense; Hart and KCP for their shooting. So it comes down to Ingram, Kuzma or McGee.

Great thread, btw.

Zo, Hart, Ingram, LBJ and Kuz.

If we are facing Embiid, Jokic or KAT, sub McGee for Kuz.

Depends on free throws. If Lonzo is shooting 70% or better:

Lonzo-Ingram-Kuzma-Lebron-Javale

Of Lonzo struggles:

Rondo-Ingram-Kuzma-Lebron-Javale

If other teams go small to end the game, Lance or Hart instead of Javale.

Lebron-Ingram-Lonzo

Then its just matchups/hotness after that.

Yep this is where I’m at now. Ingram’s improvement defensively has been awesome.

Always dependent on match ups

Any combination of Lonzo, Rondo, Hart, Kuzma, Ingram, Lebron, KCP, Mcgee

This.

Most of the time I think it will end up being Lonzo/Hart/Ingram/Kuzma/Lebron.

Most teams go small ball and Hart does all the little things that the coaching staff will like to have on the court with the big 4.

LeBron is 100%
BI is 100%

After that... who knows. Will be two of Lonzo, Hart, Kuzma, Rondo

IMO the best final shot of the game lineup: LeBron, Kuzma, Ingram, Hart, KCP.

I don’t think BI is 100%. Maybe close, but he won’t be in there if he is having an off night.

Lonzo will depends on his FTs.

But on most nights i think it will be: Lonzo/Hart/Ingram/Kuz/Lebron

If Lonzo still stinks at FTs, it’ll be: Hart/KCP/Ingram/Kuz/Lebron

I guess it depends how bad Lonzo's freethrow shooting is this season. If he's being routinely assigned to the opposing team's best perimeter player, and doing a good job of it, I don't see how Luke can not close the game with him. It's not like lousy FT shooters have not played down the stretch before.

you are thinking of centers that get subbed in and out strategically...like Shaq. But its unheard of for your 6'6" guard to sub out for ft reasons. that is really bad. that's embarrassing.

what do you mean? one is a playmaker and primary ballhandler, you can't sub him out in important moments.

until Lonzo proves to be more consistent at his shooting I dont see him as a shoo in closer.

I have Hart as a more safe bet to be a regular closer
