seriously, wtf is going on. Anyone in any gym can hit 60% fts. these nba dudes are pathetic. and why are we collecting them all? We have the king of the worst shooters, and all the worst shooting minions in the league all collected on one team. We're trying to do the opposite of the warriors...get all the worst shooters.
Should we not be semi-intrigued by him as a backup 5? Okay, maybe not semi-intrigued, but quarter-intrigued?
Nope. _________________ “Christ did not die to forgive sinners who go on treasuring anything above seeing and savoring God. And people who would be happy in heaven if Christ were not there, will not be there."

JW3 was Jordan Clarkson's teammate as a freshman at Mizzou, started every game with him in 2013-14. He left Missouri after his sophomore season amid the turmoil of impending sanctions, and a new coach.
The coach who recruited him had already left for Tulsa after his freshman year; the replacement coach (a Missouri legend) couldn't develop anyone and struggled to find lineups that worked. JW transferred to Gonzaga, and came back a year later stronger and more efficient, albeit in a weaker conference.
Although he hit 40% from 3 as a Junior, it was on one attempt per game. The lack of volume and his mechanics from that range indicate the NBA 3 won't be in his repertoire. Probably headed to the G-League, though we are thin at the 5...and Caruso/Wear won't get much time with our depth. Maybe a 2-way deal?
I liked Williams but how are we going to play another 6' 9" guy with center skills but forward height? We would have made more of an effort to keep Randle if that were the case. Bottom line... if he could shoot, he'd be a keeper.

I think this means we will get Noah.
I think it means we go with Zubac, Wagner, and small ball fives.
The Lakers are already out here making moves. They waived Travis Wear (previously on 2-way deal) to sign undrafted rookie Johnathan Williams to 2-way. With apologies to Kyle Kuzma, Williams was the Lakers best small ball center in the preseason.
I knew Williams wasn't truly gone. I would love to have him tomorrow. We could have used Wear though. Maybe he goes to our G-League full time. I don't get our obsession with Caruso tho. I feel like we already have Bonga as a 4th string PG.

Weird. Not sure if Williams is better than Travis. But I’m not sure if Travis could do anything other than shoot. Oh well. GT said that we are lacking a big who can do the dirty work. Maybe Williams can be that guy.
Harkless looks like he could do whatever he wants on our small ball lineup. Kuzma just not strong enough to hold his ground there. Luke should have tried Beasley for more than 2 minutes. But Jonathan Williams makes sense than Wear even though Wear has been somewhat decent.

Williams is five years younger, so there could be some untapped upside that Wear doesn't have anymore.
Given that the 45-day clock for two-way players doesn't kick in until G-League starts, the Lakers should be incentivized to get Williams some pt right away. _________________ Under New Management
