November 3rd we'll be right back up in Portland for the bounce back revenge game

Circled on the calendar

We definitely need to end the losing drought, it’s getting annoying.

start Lonzo with the stronger supporting team

I don't know Rondo looked great tonight. Lonzo just needs to be more aggressive offensively. The word is out on this kid that he likes to pass first.

He's gotta attack more. Mamba Mentality needs to be engage by Zo to throw these scouting reports off

Oh please god, don't. Zo's shooting is still abysmal at the moment. For someone who cannot make a layup properly, he would be better off doing something else, like steal, rebound, assist. I don't want to see him having 3-20 shooting nights, its awful and embarrassing.

Hope we don’t face POR in the playoffs. They own our mojo up in their place.

It doesn't matter how good a team the Lakers have they lose at the rose garden with regularity, even the Kobe/Shaq teams. It's really strange. They must have the worst record there than in any other arena?

I feel like we've been saying this for half a season, every season, since Luke has been here.

Lakers have a tough time winning in many places in the NBA, Utah and Denver is always a automatic lose especially when it’s a back 2 back.

Relax guys! It's a 1st game of the new season, for new assembled young team. We'll be fine.

We have right pieces of puzzle, but we need to put them on the right place and that's where Lebron/Luke come in. Both are very intelligent... They will find a way!!!

Go Lakers!!!!

I think Zu would have been a better relief for McGee in terms of the Nurkic matchup tonight.

Couple notes...

Not enough Zo
Youth indecisiveness
Defensive communication needs to improve.
We are a defensive first team it’s what ignites the easy baskets = confident shooting.
Rebounding
Cutting and weaving needs consistent energy and movement.
Svi for three
Good work tonight, something to build on against a real wc playoff team.
Where was Wear?
Work Zu in there coach, you won’t regret it.

I thought Zu would have done a good job preventing the Blazer players from scoring inside, they had so many freebie lays ups.

Seems worse in Portland.

1996 - 2012 with Kobe the Lakers were 6-23 in Portland in the regular season.

In regular season overall Home/Away

.605 vs Denver
.587 vs Utah
.527 vs Portland

Solid battle tonight and definitely something to get excited about as a Laker fan. Just some defensive breakdowns especially guarding the 3 point line and taking bad fouls. Overall great individual D, ingram changed a ton of shots and really got into passing lanes, still lacking on offense but really influenced the game on the defensive end. Jhart looked great on both ends, finishing and made a couple threes, always solid on D.

I would've liked to see more Zo, he never looked for any offense at all, gotta take that step to elevate his game, played well defensively though.

Portland played a great game lol nic stauskas having a career night, overall great effort by the lakers, a lot to look forward to.

I didn't expect this team to completely warp from the 3 point line but, aside from that, I liked the team play. Every time Portland got ahead, they would answer back. Sure there were miscues but there was also signs of beautiful things to come.

Hart is going to be placed in the starting unit at some point and stay there, I also think with just the tenacity that McGee plays with, he will be the starting center 90% of the season.

James is going to be James, but seeing the young cats such as BI and Kuz find a flow was nice. BI was damn near unguardable in the 3rd quarter.

Hart needs to start over KCP and Lonzo needs more minutes and eventually start over Rondo.

The free throw shooting and 3s are going to kill this team.

Or stop shooting 3s completely and just go inside. Much better idea than jacking up shots. Play to your strengths.

Winning on the road in the NBA is very hard. The team will learn from this and move on.

Bring on Houston, their offense is great when they are clicking but their defense is very suspect. We must protect our home turf with intensity, effort and dogged determination. GO LA!

They were getting a basket or a foul every time they made a hard drive to the basket. They let the Blazers off the hook by taking all of the desperate threes.

Did people forget we were competitive against Portland last season? Being competitive yesterday doesn’t mean much.

Many posts in this thread is why I seldom post in game threads. To much negativity. If we lose tomorrow I guess we should trade most of the team the coach and start all over again. SMH
