Sounds like that's too good a lineup for Luke. He'll probably do something dumb like sticking Lance at point, or starting Hart at the three. All so he can continue to bring Kuz to back up Javale. I really think he thinks he's on to something with that. |

We can't start Kuz cause he's our backup C. #LukeLogic |

It's something that makes happy despite our 0-2 start. Hopefully, we won't share their same fate with an 0-3 start. This is gonna be our Game of the Year. |
Ironically , OKC is the only team that’s worse than us when it comes to 3pt shooting
At least in terms of percentage |

If we start Owen5, I'll have a long post in the P&M thread about Luke and LeBron. This is a must win to me. _________________

I don't think he'll bench KCP for Hart anytime soon. But I expect the other 4 players you named to start next game. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better” |

I don't trust either Kuzma or Hart to guard the perimeter. |

I think we win this one. Spurs have looked shaky, we're at home, Kuz and Zo should be pumped to show out more in bigger roles than they've had so far. Bron should be looking at this and planning to have a big game. You don't want to lose 3 in a row to open the season. |

Afraid of the loss. Pop will expose all our problems ( shooting, bad rebounding, bad defense and miscommunication). I do not think Walton is smart enough to beat Pop at this one. And yes we need to use Zubac in this one. They are quite big team. No time for small ball.
Lonzo and Hart need to start. |

I’m not too worried honestly
We’ve had the Spurs number lately and LeBron always dominates DeRozan |

If nothing we should beat them with the speed. LMA, Gasol, Poeltl, Gay all really slow players. It is important to contain Bertans and Mills. |

If we won this game, it would leave OKC as the lone winless team in the West so everyone could point at them and laugh. _________________ LeGoat! LeMazing! LeGend! |

Should be a win. We swept them last year and we added LeBron while they added his pet dog DeRozan. |

I'm actually okay with starting KCP tonight. I'd go:
Zo
KCP
Kooz
James
McGee
Stephenson
Hart
Beasley
Zubat
I'd maybe even toss Svi a few minutes. Reason I'm okay with starting KCP is that we will need Hart to carry our bench squad. _________________ one dog goes that way the other dog goes the other way |

Svi shot 44.4% from 3 on the NCAA team with 2nd hardest schedule.
He was the best shooter in college basketball on a team that played tough teams all season long.
It's not like we are locking people down on defense anyway... Put the kid in for 20 minutes against the second unit and let's see what he can do.
We aren't going anywhere without scoring and shooting... and from a pure statistical standpoint... Svi is most likely to become a reliable shooter from three. |

Luke should try to get Svi some action asap. The kid is a shooter, we need shooters. Give him a few minutes and see what happens. He may get hot from deep, maybe, maybe not but we need to find out what he can do at this level. |

I think the game is a little too big for him right now, and a guy who could give the team reasonable rookie production later in the year could be embarrassingly bad this early in the season. _________________ Under New Management |

The kid changed continents when he was a teenager... he played for a huge nationally ranked program with crowds more rabid than you'd see at Staples.
I agree with you that we need to be mindful of his psyche... but I say throw him in the deep end with the second unit and give him the green light to shoot. Most of his mistakes have been poor passes by constantly deferring to the vets.
Let him do what he does best... shoot! |
