If this is true and not sarcasm then it's a sad day for us fans.
If randle stuck by his agent, I respect him even more.
I'm still looking forward to the season but basically what every one is
saying is that
1. Loosing randle and keeping PcP is a package deal.
2. Or that he wanted a longer commitment which was not possible.
3. save space for LeBron partner.
4. JR didn't want to play with LeBron.
The third one makes sense. Even I want this.
I just have a simple question for the management. Randle showed
glimpses of someone who will have a really great career in the Nba.
Why did we treat him like this?
At the end of last year, I very much bought into JR as our alpha player.
we had a good established pecking order.
Guys were having a good year around randle's hustle.
I find it funny that people think jr was a defensive liability when
he stood up to almost every big in the nba one by one.
JR deserved a 4 yr 40 mill contract.
There is something stupid about just letting your hardest
worker walk. Whats more stupid is that this keeps happening
to us over and over again.
I think ball and kuzma will miss him even when they have LeBron.
I also think JR was a good role model for the other guys.
now this team is full of pseudo alphas and artest like lunatics without that mwp skill.
All our players saw what JR did and he still got shipped.
To please a decling diva superstar NonAlpha.
All to make room for a 12mil/yr d-leager.
Then added nutcase fists of spitting fury rondo.
a incresingly unstable looking Brandon Ingram.
and LANCE
Can anyone explain why it was so hard to give
randle like 3 yr 30 mill. Did a agent politics cost us randle and guys like artest.

KCP is not trash....he will come up big a few times this season. That said, I am not sure how losing Randle is not viewed as a massive failure. Randle playing the backup 5 and some spot minutes as a PF changes the ceiling for this team in my opinion. The FO should have worked hard to get him to accept the QO and then paid him above market next off season once a max guy was signed.

Small sample size, but I really don’t like either of them. We had Randle for a long time and he isn’t a good shooter, not any more than Rondo is...who is shooting .500 from 3 so far in just a handful of attempts.
We weren’t interested in making a long term commitment to him, he got insulted and went to go play off the bench for someone else for a modest salary. Time to let it go...Randle is good, but not good enough to worry about losing, in the end he’s just another guy...nothing special IMO.
Guess who else is shooting 50% behind the arc on the same attempts as Rondo?
Julius Randle.
Like I said, didn't fire his agent and sign with Klutch, but I'm annoyed at some of the passing IQ plays and the decisive spot up shooting behind the arc.

On the bright side, Julius looks to be in a great spot and the Lakers’ loss his gain, not to mention the Pels’. Don’t think he’d get the opportunity he is getting if he stayed. Can’t wish him anything but continued success.
This should either be locked or merged with the Julius thread in the general nba forum. Most of us moved on from this ex-Laker a long time ago. Sneaking "PCP" in there to disguise it as a laker discussion is unnecessary.

The only good things this front office has done are draft Kuzma and sign LeBron. Somehow not smart enough to realize you need rebounding and interior defense to win. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:

Eh, his BPM is worse then last year and his DPM is negative. He’s just an average player in the league who hit a few 3s to start the season. Same conversation we all had about DLO when he was shipped out, got off to a fast start then regressed back to being crappy.
