who knows...they are both likely closer to what they will become than Lonzo based on age....Lonzo just turned 21 years old....Kyle and Josh are 2.5 years older.

As long as they are wearing a Lakers uniform, I'm cool with them being better than Lonzo. That helps the team and that's the bottom line.

I would say Low tbh.. Lonzo tonight was horrible shooting but he still had several fantastic defensive plays neither of those guys could make..

In the end though I could care less and this thread feels more like bait then anything. I just want to see them all succeed and let the cards fall where they fall instead of trying to discredit others along the way.

Offensively, ignoring assists, yes.

Ball has star potential. Kuz and Hart likely won’t ever be all stars but very solid role players.

All three of them are completely different players who play completely different roles, so what would ”better” even look like? The only two things that Kuz and Hart do better than Lonzo is scoring and shooting, but even shooting is somewhat of a question mark.

Too early to predict.

That said, Kuz may have the least upside of the three. He's looking fairly one-dimensional at this point

Hart is probably the easiest guy to get hot and bothered by, but that maybe due a lot to the fact that he's played less than the others so it's easier to project/fantacize what he may become.

Lower floors (due to age/3-4 years college players) but also lower ceilings IMO.

BI/Lonzo are so young that it's too soon to determine what their respective ceilings will be. They're also fundamentally different type of players.

Never, because they are already are who they are because of their age. Lonzo truly has a chance to change/add to his game a bit because he is still raw clay.

Oh, it’s never too early to make a prediction on a message board. The fundamental problem is that collectively we would have a hard time agreeing on what makes one player better than another, unless the difference is substantial.

For example, I can imagine Kuzma becoming a guy who averages 20-25 points, but is not unusually efficient, is not a three point shooter, and contributes nothing else. That is more or less what he is right now. Some people would consider that to be valuable because they put a premium on scoring.

So suppose that Ball becomes a guy who averages 12-14 points with 6-8 assists, 5-6 rebounds, and above average defense. Is hypothetical Ball better or worse than hypothetical Kuzma? Some people would consider hypothetical Ball to be better because they put a premium on non-scoring production.

These are illustrations, not predictions. Just the same, neither illustration is unrealistic. If you could combine them into one player, you’d have an all-star. Their strengths and weaknesses don’t overlap.

I'm starting to think Lonzo won't reach his ceiling until he has a change of scenery. I don't think our roster fits him. He needs to be on a team like Orlando.

Hart has a chance if he can straighten out his D outside of the post.

Not sure what would realistically change for Kuzma to put him over the top.

Lonzo is what he is, ultimate glue guy. He's not a superstar nor will he ever be. He doesn't have that offensive talent but he can still be impactful. Just wish we didn't select him #2.

odds are they wont assuming no injury to any of the 3.

people are just in love with 3's and scoring. if the guy aint doing those two things at a high level they assume the player sucks.

notice how they didnt care Kuz was horrible on defense last year and how bad josh is on defense on the perimeter this year. no one cares. as long as the 3 hits or the points add up.

no. he needs to be on a team with some shooters obviously. but he also needs to get longer stints on the floor. he gets in a groove when he's out there for awhile. but if not. he has not figured out how to strike quickly and often within a short time span.

He needs to be more assertive, run the offense thru him when he gets the ball, kinda like young Rondo with KG/Ray/Pierce

Kuzma's about 3-4 ppg away from being an all star

I always thought Zo would become a Mini-Lebron. Now I’ll settle for a slightly smaller, faster, non-vocal Draymond Green.

I do think he was playing well last night though.
