Yeah, LeBron himself called it; no surprise to me. However, guys
need to make their shots and defend or the send the wrong message.
In another 10 games (more or less) we should know who's who out there. _________________ Lakers need to build a freaking team ! |

Oh it's very easy to play with him if you're a finisher or shooter. Look at how McGee's game has taken off; even Hart to an extent. I think Kuzma's biggest problem is just that he has atrocious shot selection. It probably doesn't help that he's being surgically eviscerated on defense most nights as well. |

But since we are talking young guys...
Ingram is the biggest problem for me because he's our second option and he should be the third or maybe fourth.
I don't expect much from Kuzma except for scoring. That's all he is. Hart is relentless, but that's all he is. He has no governance to his game.
Zo is a specialist liability right now.
A trade is coming. It's going to take too long for these guys to become collectively consistent contributors at a championship level. So two of the three will go. My bet is on Zo and Ingram getting shipped. Kuzma and Hart are perfect bench guys and they've already blossomed into those roles.
The moment we signed LeBron is the moment we gave up the youth movement. People need to accept this reality.
The holdup is two-fold:
1. We cannot use any of the cap space (this season) unless we are bringing in AD.
2. We must maximize whatever equity we have in Ingram/Ball. The best deal may come once a few other dominoes fall.
The Lakers will most likely be a very good team after the trade deadline. But the uphill hill battle (owing to seeding) will probably take it's toll. I suspect Magic and Pelinka will not pass on AD and another piece if it's available at the deadline. |
I agree with much of that but I fail to see how the young guys we are giving up on will fetch much in trade. If a star like AD is on the market it is likely we get outbid. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

I agree. We will get outbid; but it doesn't mean we'll lose out.
AD signing with KLUTCH and LeBron coming to the Lakers are no coincidences. The last time we tried to acquire a franchise changing player from NO, we got screwed by the most powerful man in the NBA. Oddly enough, the current most powerful man in the NBA plays for us (LeBron). The fact that he can call in a favor to an NBA front office to expedite the Chandler buyout (and nobody says a word!) is all I needed to see to be convinced the fix is already in.
Ingram/Ball/Pope/1st for AD.
We screw Boston out of the deal.
Celtics vs. Lakers in the Finals for two out of the next three years. _________________ “There are no limits. There are plateaus, but you must not stay there, you must go beyond them. If it kills you, it kills you. A man must constantly exceed his level.” ―Bruce Lee |
