I expect TC and the whole bench to be huge for us tonight. McGee can hold off and outrun Nurkic, but we now have someone to contain Plumlee. Our bench has to show up tonight.
And we need to execute wisely on both ends.

Lets get this W and keep the run goin !!

BIG game!!

The Lakers proved they can beat Portland, in Portland, now the Blazers are going to be out for revenge. They have a good coach, a great record, and I'm sure they'll adjust from the last game.

On the other hand, we're much better now that Chandler has the backup center role, and in spite of the hiccups our team's improvement curve should be much steeper than an established team like Portland's.

I don't think the Blazers can own us in the paint anymore. It's going to fall on their guards, driving up the middle for impossible shots and getting hot with their 3 point shooting. Here's hoping the Lakers are ready. I'd be more than happy to see Josh Hart driving the lane repeatedly and getting the Blazer lineup in serious foul trouble.

Almost forgot to mention, Nurkic is still a salty, dirty (bleep). He's going to get attacked from all sides and he's going to get mad if he gets posterized or particularly if Hart uses him. He's going to try to hurt someone. I expect technicals before the night is over.

It's still early season. I think this is the last time the matchup will be this close; we'll clobber them in our last matchup later this season.

Lakers by one.

Got to win these games at home. West is brutal.

Didn’t even play since Sunday and dropped from 8 to 11. Yes it’s early, but it will be like last season except with more teams in the race.

Our 3 best defenders (Ball, BI and McGee) will be on their 3 best offensive players (Lillard, CJ and Nurkic). Our 2 worst defenders, Lebron and Kuzma, will have to defend Aminu and Layman. So in theory, we should be OK. Of course, you never know, any of their big three could go nuclear on us...

We do have a relatively easy stretch of games in the next few weeks. I looked at the schedule and I can see us going 24-16 in the first 40 games, just based on what's on paper. We will lose some games we're supposed to win, we will win games we're supposed to lose. If everything evens out, I'd say that's decent for our talent level and the competition we'll be facing.

The Lakers are donating $150,000 to the American Red Cross and the Ventura County Community Foundation (VCCF) to support victims of the recent tragedies in Southern California. Fans can also support the efforts by participating in a blood drive with UCLA Health at upcoming Lakers and South Bay Lakers games or make direct donations to the American Red Cross for victims of the fires or make donations to the Ventura County Community Foundation (VCCF) for the Conejo Valley Victims Fund for the Thousand Oaks shooting victims at vccf.org.

No doubt. In my mind, the Hawks game they probably deserved to lose while the one or both of the spurs games should have been a win.
