This will probably go down as the least popular thread here. But what the hell. These guys paint some damn fine word pictures. If one person picks up a book because of this then it's a good thing. |

Honestly, pick any book from any of the four. They're all excellent. Connelly and Mosely tend to be a bit darker. Crais' books have a bit more of a sense of humor to them, but are by no means comedy. Kellerman's main character is a psychologist, so it has more of that angle.
The one advantage for Mosely is he's been writing for over 30 years, so if you start at the beginning, you get a really cool look at LA over the span of his books.
All of them are writers whose books I get as soon as new ones come out. |
