Feels like this board is always taking sides when we don’t have to especially between Kuz and BI. They may not be the #2 option some have hoped but they’re both Lakers and tonight both had good games.

Kuzma = 15 points 12 rebounds 6 assists +13

Ingram = 19 points 4 rebounds 4 assists +9

edit

Nice game from Lonzo and Hart as well. Lonzo 10 points 5 steals, Hart made some key buckets during the run to help get the lead up.

The thing you all need to consider is they put up these numbers playing poorly at times. Both should have over 20. BI had a lot of near miss turnovers.

When they have that type of production with so many mistakes... you have to think they can get even better.

Nice forward progress tonight.

This team clicks when Kuz provides the spacing we need. BI is just 21 so yes he‘s going to experience growing pains as he matures.

Good game from both tonight no doubt.

Why? Some positivity is very welcome around here right now. You he way these young guys get crapped on religiously,... this should be returned the YOUTH appreciation thread. Not just for BI and Kuz.

The whole young core was fantastic. Normally 1 or 2 play well, but it seemed like everybody played well this game. I don't want to trade the core for AD, I'm pretty attached to them and trading for AD would require most of the core

Best game from Kuzma for ... a while now. He hasn't been playing well lately

AD tonight 41 pts 9 Rebounds 2 assists 4 blocks... guarded 1 position
The core... 44 Pts 17 Rebounds 14 assists 6 steals... guarded 3 positions

As great as AD is... he can only guard one player... Pelicans lost... we won... we have the better record.

And our core will eventually produce 50 points a night, while AD will usually score no more than 30.

All four finally played well in the same game. That's what we need from them, consistency. Tonight was a step in the right direction.

One thing that's been consistently overlooked is that all 3 (BI, Kuz, Zo) of our young guys have been dramatically increasing the frequency of games where they've been super aggressive & intense
When we started this season, Zo was Invisi-Ball in 10 out of the first 12 games. then he was aggressive 2 games out of 5. He's been 'ON" 3 out of the last 4.
BI was better than Zo, but was still inconsistent as far as being aggressive. He's also been "ON" about 4 of the last 5 games
Kuz was a shot chaser, but invisible on D and didn't rebound. He's been "ON" 3 of the last 4. His shooting has been inconsistent during that stretch, but he's been putting in the effort on D and the boards a lot more consistently.

It is pretty encouraging that all 3 of them are no longer standing around disengaged for major portions of each game. The results haven't always been what you'd really want, but there has been dramatic improvement there

I like the core but I would take AD for any two of them in a hot New York second!

Most would do two... but almost all scenarios have three and picks.

Too much for someone who still can't lead his team to victory. He has some nice players... so what's the problem?

Yeah, for example I would do KCP and Ingram, but there's a rumor going around at the moment about KCP, Ingram, and Lonzo, and I can't bring myself to like that. That's our 2 best defenders for starters.

Good point. The aggression is increasing.

Ingram and Lonzo are so key on defensive assignments, just need their offense to catch up. Aggression is a good sign.

Kuzma much better lately and he’s sharing the ball.

Not worried about Hart. He can play with any lineup and just makes winning plays.

I wouldn't trade three young players for anybody unless they were scrubs.
These guys are not scrubs.
