Fact of the matter is Randle is a likely a free agent next summer

FICTION
Actually it is your opinion not fiction. Despite the Laker biased fan opinions of all the marquee players all waiting in line to join it is not a certainty. All the most mentioned could easily choose to stay with current teams or go elsewhere. I know, I'm being a Debby Downer!
If the Lakers are forced to start looking at alternative plan B or 2nd tier players I would hope the Randle option was not dismissed by he, his agent or the Lakers FO. I agree it is not as sexy a fantasy as AD,. Durant and James but until next summer why not be able to discuss all options freely?
As for today, I'm going to continue enjoying the current roster this season. Hopefully the chemistry continues to develop and the team can remain in contention.
With Dec 15th looming we shall see how patient they can be. How big a trade may be made? Who do they lose and gain? Can the "new team" build that chemistry and remain relevant in the playoff race? As I have stated all along, the James circus will be certainly interesting whether they win or lose.
You're bundling Jules and potential free agent signings into the same fantasy. Separate them and it will make more sense.
Marquee free agent signings = small possibility
Jules signing here next season = fantasy

Trade out the timid projects for guys who actually bring it with intensity and consistency every night.
Enough dealing with these millennial's mindsets and moods. Some of these dudes spent last year playing video games in their off-time instead of watching film and working on their skills. It's not junior high.
Man's game.

Current Lakers = 5th seed
Current Pelicans = out of the playoffs.
Lonzo and Ingram aren't the main reasons we are in the 5th seed...come on now.
They stilll deserve a lot of credit.
As much as we like to follow the narrative that BI and Lonzo aren’t a good mix with Lebron and Josh Hart and Kuz are best, just like George Kush said we’re currently the 5th seed.
However the plan goes forward with ZO and BI and their future with the Lakers , FACT is they're still winning games alongside Lebron at the moment.
Only been 2 months since they teamed up together. I’d like to believe there only gonna get better with The Kang 👑
You must have been impressed with Cedi Osman and Ante Sizic, they made it to the Finals next to Lebron. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023.

We didn't wanna give Julius 2 years, pelicans did; with a players option in his 2nd year. I wanted Julius back, but he wouldn't fit with this team. We are doing good with the team we constructed. I wish Julius nothing but success.
Not sure what Laker team you are watching, the one I watch has been weak rebounding and playing small ball. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023.
We could have used JR this year. And he's not gonna opt in on the 9 M deal for 2nd season. And Even if he did, it's an easily tradable contract that could get you a draft pick in case you want to move him for a max FA. _________________ Showtime 2.0

Wouldn’t we have been required to give him three? _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:
Again, the evidence was VERY in front of the Lakers how good this kid was and was getting. But the new FO refused to acknowledge that one of THEIR OWN could be one of those "max-like" guys. And turned down the chance at bringing him back for a BARGAIN in comparison to the numbers he was capable of putting up.
new FO's inability to see the forest for the trees when the piece they needed was right in front of them and could have been had.
Once more, 4 years 48M for Jules and his production would have been a BARGAIN. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

Agreed with you til "4 year 48M". No way him and his agent would've taken that much, and if they did, they'd be morons. Even Smart got more than that, and he's half the player Jules is.
He looks like HS all-everything Julius for the first time in his pro career. The guard skill is really popping this season. _________________ Under New Management
This isn't like when D'Lo was traded and there were still questions about whether or not he'd pan out.
A lot of people saw what Julius could be and saw how he was being held back at times while playing here. Unfortunately you also had FAR too many people that were quick to dismiss every positive sign as some sort of fluke.
He's scoring efficiently and is a proven double double machine.
He's effective as a starter AND coming off the bench.
He's shooting much better from 3 while taking more 3's than he was allowed to take as a Laker.
He's still showing that when needed you can run an offense through him and he can be an effective playmaker for others.
Other than sheer stupidity and stubbornness there was no reason dump on Julius and basically push him out the door.
Kind of sucks that he may be on a team that is about to break up, or may not make the playoffs. Would have been such a great place to spotlight his game on the Lakers and hit FA.
The Pels have poor attendance, have a crappy local TV deal, and don't seem to be on national TV much. But Jules is about to be paid and I'm happy for him. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals
