Rockets apparently still after KCP, I wonder if the Lakers try to work out a trade ASAP.

FYI:
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope is the Rockets‘ top trade target as they look for wing help, Marc Stein of The New York Times reports in his latest newsletter.

Quote:
KCP can veto any trade as a result of signing a one-year deal with the Lakers, but Stein hears that the shooting guard would agree to a deal that sends him to Houston.

What assets do the Rox have that teams will desire? (and something that the Lakers want back)?

The fact that KCP is willing to waive his NTC for Houston all but points to him wanting out, if a player is disgruntled you try to find a deal soon that works for the team.

Why would KCP want to go to Houston? He's not getting a ton more minutes there. Weird.

He must be really miserable here.

He's absolutely worthless when it's a close game.

But when there's a margin of 15+, he's money.

Nothing. Needs to be a 3 team trade.

His 5 points and -8 will be so missed.

The longer this season goes, the lower his value goes. Trade him now before we're unable to get anything in return (so wanted Ariza )

i dont know if its his routines or something but he's the player pistons fans said he was, wildly inconsistent. He had a good season last year and he regressed this one. Its difficullt to say if he's a good player or not overall tbh

I hope they hang onto him this season. If the Lakers are looking at playoff matchups down the line, KCP is too useful chasing Curry around screens to trade him away for a bigger wing.

Ariza would have been the only guy who can do the same thing KCP does, so I’m pretty sure KCP is here all season long unless Ariza becomes available again.

I also noted that, some very good defense by KCP tonight. Also hit some timely shots after LeBron went down.

KCP is doing OK. People are being unfair to him, he's overpaid for sure for a bench player, but he gets us buckets at times when we are in need. He's still one of our best 3pt shooters, our best FT shooter, and he seems to give full effort on defense. It's not like Ariza has been lighting it up since he went to the Wizards.
