why didnt he and others get subbed in after that last timeout? GS put in their reserves, yet we stuck with the same lineup, only to sub them all out with a minute to go. Luke is weird af _________________ 48 49 50 52 53 54 72 80 82

Bothers me a lot as well. They could have had 4 good minutes of practicing plays. Instead they come in with one minute to go, that's maybe two plays, maybe only one or none at all if they are forfeiting the last possession.
How would the other team come back in 4 minutes from a 30 point lead. Come on luke. Play the reserves! _________________ Kobe |

With LeBron and Rondo out he probably gets some burn over the next 2-3 games. He's looked pretty good the last few times he's seen the floor, so I'm excited to see what he can do with his minutes |

Consistent minutes to DNP is how Luke operates. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

Jackson, Pop and Kerr all had similar practices of throwing end of the bench guys as incentive to stay ready. It works great. As to whether Svi is ready to be a regular contributor, giving him minutes more sparingly and bringing him along seems to be a better strategy. It's a man's league and Svi is just getting his legs under him. |

He shows great flashes but it’s pretty clear he isn’t ready for consistent minutes. He’s being handled properly IMO and should be ready to contribute in his second or third year. |

I agree and am actually pretty happy they are giving him the run they are. He could have pretty easily have been relegated to the GLeague with where he was drafted, especially with how he played earlier in he year. I could also see him have a breakout performance at some point. He has explosive scoring potential. |

Philly's playing Landry Shamet 20 minutes a game and he's provided a good rotation player shooting 40.6% from three.
Shamet's Wichita State had the 50th hardest schedule last season
Svi's Kansas had the 2nd hardest schedule.
Both Svi and Shamet shot 44% last year from three.
Not saying they would have the exact same result... but it's not crazy to assume Svi would thrive with regular minutes. |

We are much deeper than Philly and Shamet has far more offensive responsibility in college than Svi. |

I get that Philly backed themselves into a corner by trading all their shooters.
I get that winning first should be our management's top priority.
I'm only saying if we did play Svi... chances are he will become a reliable three point threat. If LBJ's out for awhile... he might get a chance to show this. |

The way I see it Lance gets 14mpg and he wont even be here next year. If Svi gets consistent minutes to settle into a rhythm I dont see him being any worse than Lance. He can shoot, is not a "bad" defender and has the capability of driving into the paint for the dish or finish if ran off the 3point line.
next season Lance, KCP and Rando are likely gone and Hart could be packaged in a trade. We will need Svi ready to step up and play big minutes off the bench and best way to do that is feed him more minutes this year. _________________ (bleep) Kawhi |

I bet Svi would get a lot more burn on that Philly team, which means Luke is playing Stephenson too much. _________________ Under New Management |

now with Rondo out, we can use Lance as backup PG and move Svi into the main rotation, instead of playing Caruso _________________ 48 49 50 52 53 54 72 80 82
