Why single out Ingram?

The core played okay... but they didn't get any bench help until the game was over.

I don't like the way they deferred to Lance at the end.

Lance was playing okay... but the kids need to learn to do this by themselves.

Because Earvin Magic Johnson singled Ingram out as, essentially, our 2nd best player and for two games in a row our 2nd best player hasn't controlled the game.

Our second best player is McGee. Not Kuz. Not Ingram.

Magic is in the middle of hyping everyone up for trading purposes. I don't like it, but that's the feeling I get.

Our offense died and I mean died when he was off the court. No one was doing anything but protecting their stats

Well, that's true... I give him credit for trying and having confidence but it's one side of the coin. The other side of the coin is that with turnovers and ill-advised plays/shots, he lets teams back into the game and even allows them to take leads. When he does that, it puts unnecessary pressure on the rest of this young team... the start of a downward spiral so to speak. This generally happens when he tries to take over in the 2nd half of the 3rd quarter and 1st half of the 4th quarter.

The momentum was with the Clippers before he left but after there was no coming back.
Their lead grew to 16 or something.
No one wanted to take the shot, there was just 'the right way' of playing basketball and then we got blown out.

He's stinking up the place from 3, I mean really, really stinking up the place, he makes some dumb plays but he's not shying away.

We haven't been able to stop any small guards this year.

All are relatively older guards.

Then stop.

If only it was that easy

Never bet on the games then, because if you think you're attached now wait until a full days pay is on the line. You would have a seizure lol

Ingram is perhaps the most well rounded of the kids... but Kuzma's the best scorer.

He puts up more shots... and he shot 9 more tonight.

Yet somehow Ingram is painted on Lakersground as a selfish ball hog.

No one thinks Ingram's the second best scorer at this stage...

It's Kuzma but he's really sh*t the bed this year from long range.

Magic:

Traded Lou Williams
Called Ingram "untouchable"
Thought Ball would shoot 40% from three

Gonna be fired soon??

I'm honestly very afraid of the next move he's going to make.

Kuzma 24 points on 21 attempts
Ingram 17 points on 12 attempts

And yet we're losing. I thought Ingram was the go-to player when Lebron is out.

He sat down on the bench in the third due to foul trouble. That was the start of the Clippers 22-0 run. With Ingram on the bench the Lakers couldn't get a basket

YES! The Clippers best 3 players had almost 0 fouls. In comparison Kuz and Ingram and Ball were all in foul trouble.

People give Lebron a hard time for his defense, but half of that is not getting called for any fouls. Lebron is never fouled out of the game.

A lot of their dominance has also coincided with Rondo's injuries and suspension.

According to Lou Williams, Lakers traded him for refusing to tank

Because Magic

(He doesn't get credit for Lebron because we all know Lebron has already his move to LA years before Magic became president of Lakers.)

No, he didn't. Read up about the houses that Lebron bought in LA before Magic was even president of Lakers. Then look at everything Lebron is doing with his entertainment business after coming here. Lebron is a very smart businessman. He's already planning and thinking about his post NBA career long before it's over. He's gonna be a billionaire just like MJ.

Part of being an effective fan and analyst is watching the games, and not looking at box scores to push narratives even though you didn't actually watch.

Rondo has had a history of being both somewhat brittle (injuries) and combustible (suspension), so I'm not surprised that he has missed some games.

Rondo is on a one year contract and may or may not be back next season. They will need to find another guard in addition to Ball that can slow down quick guards because it doesn't appear that Hart will ever be able to do that.

If Rondo does come back next season, then I would go with thoughts of him continuing to be brittle and combustible.

In my 30+ yrs of following the Lakers, I've never called so many Lakers a-holes the way I did tonight. LOL! I think you're an a-hole if you're a professional basketball player and there are kids that can shoot free throws better you, make lay-ups better than you. We got a bunch of a-holes and mental midgets.

I won't debate Ingram's effectiveness on this Laker team because it's non-existant. Trade him. Let him develop into this vaulted All-Star his cheerleaders keep predicting on another team.

Hey 818, allow yourself to detach from the team until Brawn comes back. Until then, they're DEAD DUCKS. Br0, don't do it to yourself. We're gonna get stanned by Euros and backup point guards for the time being, so just sit tight.
