Adding strength is going to be so key for him in becoming a functional NBA defender. Because if he's a functional NBA defender, I think he has a clear path towards being a good NBA 6th man/solid 5th starter in the league. _________________ Under New Management

Which is to get to the point that the Lakers could part with Josh if Svi continues to progress this season. _________________ Under New Management
He's going to be a sniper. Another great job by the Lakers scouting department. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold.
SVI is a very smooth player, can handle, can cut, can defend a little bit, much more than a shooter, but the thing is that his shots are not falling, hopefully that game gave him confidence.
When his shots start to fall, he will be a solid player

I hope some are happy that he played. He did nothing and had no impact on the game, though. He just isn’t ready. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023.

lol he isnt ready to play because he didnt fill up the stat sheet with a random 9 minutes of play?
No, he isn’t ready because he has no impact on the game. He isn’t a decent NBA player at this time. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023.
This kid is going to be a sniper. Lebron is going to love him if he stays with the team. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold.

It's not a surprise that Svi didn't score. He had his big game the day before, and I expected him not to have the same effectiveness on back to back days. Additionally, he's probably the focus of the offense on the Defenders, but on the Lakers, he's only in front of guys like Tyson Chandler as a shooting option. That's how the players divide up the shots. I did see him drain a distant 3 point shot on a play where Chandler was called for moving screen. He was floating and fading to his left on that shot, the type of shot I haven't noticed him make with any consistency.
When they use him in games where his legs are fresher I believe he's going to show us a lot more than we've seen. That shooter from the last G League game would be very helpful when Ingram or Kuzma need a rest, or Lonzo needs help handling the ball.
Depending on the matchups and game flow, I believe the hard work that led to his recent success is going to be apparent soon and we'll all be glad to see it.
Svi has a lot to learn and grow into, but, imo, he's capable of showing the things we saw in Summer League were real.
