For me: Win tonight and it will somewhat diminish the bad taste of losing to the queens and clippers.

This is a statement game for our young core to show the Lakers they've made a good decision by not trading them away for PG13. BI and Lonzo are saving their best games for this showdown.

BI locks down PG13. Lonzo locks down Westbrick. No Lebron. No problem. Let's go.

Our statement game was beating the GSW in NorCal. Now we just need some damn W's

These are all statement games (since lbjs injury). Were still auditioning the kids for FAs to buy in.

Winning tonight would be simply incredible...

With a lose we fall to 8th seed, with a win we jump to a tie for 4th seed, doing it against a formidable WC team would be very nice.

Lakers and Thunder are tied for 3rd in pace. It could be a track meet.

Betting for the Lakers to beat the spread looks like easy money too. The Lakers always beat the spread by a big margin with these refs.

Billups saying Kobe is the most skilled player ever, even more than MJ in that LeBron GOAT debate. It's still really crazy the disparity of the gap of appreciation that players and coaches that were in the NBA have for Kobe in comparison to the blog bois.

The best teams bring out the best in the Lakers. We blew out GSW without Lebron. I don't see why we can't have a repeat performance. We could have easily been 3.5-0 without Lebron if we didn't blow a huge lead in the 4th quarter against Sacto and if we didn't play B2B against the Clippers. We're legit. OKC is gonna be in for a surprise.

Lakers went 2-2 against essentially the same Thunder without LeBron, even though PG & Adams are having their best seasons, BI should be able to contain PG imo. Biggest worry is Westbrook breaking out from his season shooting funk and have one of his crazy 30-40 point triple double games because the Lakers are in town and is a national TV game as well in LA.

Most of the bloggers love Kobe too, there is just too much attention given to the few detractors.

Kobe probably had the most successful reputation rehab of all time. For much of his career, it didn't really seem like a lot of his peers liked him.

We’re gonna lose most likely, but its oddly fun to play a game where if you lose that was supposed to happen but if you happen to win, it is that much more satisfying =)

I'm gonna play it safe and expect a Laker Loss, that way if they do manage to win, I'll be pleasantly surprised...
