Yeah. I'm one of those but have you read the book guys. 35 years later and I'm still salty about the chronicles of Prydain.
Jack reacher would have been mine but they used Tom cruise which ruined it. Nothing against him but reacher is a giant badass wanderer.
Second on my list would be surprisingly Nora Roberts with her In Death series. |

I always wanted Confederacy of Dunces to be made into a movie. John Candy would have been perfect, but I think Jack Black could pull it off too. |

I wish Fincher/Craig/Mara continued the Millennium series (The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo).
City of Thieves could be a really good movie, IMO. |

Put me down for a 3 part cinematic rendering of the John Varley Titan trilogy. The series debuted in the 1980's and back then I wanted Sigourney Weaver or Geena Davis to play Captain Cirroco Jones. But it's now the second decade of the 2000's and neither are still appropriate. I'de take Gal Gadot or maybe Cobie Smolders at this point.
My second choice would be The Mote in Gods Eye by Niven and Pournelle. This is still the best first contact novel I have ever read. My only hesitationin recommending this book be made into a movie is the fact that Niven and Pournelle are both inveterate racists and bigots, although to my recollection, it dosn't come through in Mote like it does in some of their other books. |

"Go Dog Go"
I mean come on. A dog wear goggles, newsboy cap and a scarf driving a single seater, open cockpit sports car at breakneck speed has summer blockbuster written all over it. _________________ You thought God was an architect, now you know

Netflix just did a great animated miniseries of Watership Down. Love that book.
Steel World by B. V. Larson would actually make a pretty cool movie. Plenty of action. A touch of novelty. You can tweak it to be Darker / Gorier / more Adult if that's what you want but it will stand on its own without that. |

There are 3 or 4 Star Wars books that would be amazing on the big screen. Unfortunately they don't fit the Disney mold. |
