Yeah, and IG obviously believes him

I want to believe him because Riley and Spo coming to the Lakers will mean a lot of winning seasons in the future.

Yeah, just like all those winning seasons Miami has had since Lebron left.

Any team would having losing seasons if the GOAT left the team, just like Jordan, bringing in Riley and Spo will give us more winning formula, unless you are a Luke guy and you love his buddies.

If LeBron is the key to winning, then why bother changing coaches

Riley and Spo winning history >>> Luke winning history

We’re trading Lebron for Michael Cooper and signing Kareem as a FA. The band is getting back together!

Riley turns 74 this year. League valuations at an all time high with a strong national media contract and potential growth in foreign markets and gambling revenue. Sounds like a good time to divest

Quote:
Meanwhile, the Heat have determined that Spoelstra will be a long-term fit with the roster as the two sides finalize a contract extension that will keep the coach in place for at least the next three seasons. Spoelstra, 45, was set to enter the final season on his contract but the team had always planned to extend a deal that would grant him a pay raise and increased role in personnel matters, sources said.

Riley's been riding that golden parachute for the last 30 some years... why would he ruin that? why would he do that to himself?

Don't do it to yourself man. This rumor is a complete nothing-burger. Your posts are going to end up on some other team's forum in the thread where they quote funny posts from rival fans.

Lol I don’t care if it doesn’t happen just thought it was interesting thing to talk about until the team gets healthy again.

Someone tell me why it is such a horrible thing for Luke to hire his buddies as assistant coaches while it seems fine for Jeanie to hire her buddies to run the team?

Crazy how the sky is falling here when we were in the 4th seed and everyone here was giddy.

We are nothing without Lebron, Rondo and Kuzma. Our 3 best players. Period.

Need more talent. Ingram and Lonzo were highly overrated from day one.

Hiring buddies isn’t the issue.

Hiring incompetent buddies is a real issue.

I don't think I could deal with an entire half-season of Spoelstra making that douchey grin every time the refs make a call he doesn't like. Worse than having to watch Mike Brown chew sunflower seeds and spit them into a cup.

If this was true I’m guessing it’ll be after the season?

Would be messed if they bailed half way through the season during Dwyane Wade’s “Last Dance” tour

He is a hell of a stat padder. Stat padding this team into 4th in the West. Not bad.

Riley's coming back for sure. I just know it because it would be cool.

I hear VHS tapes are making a comeback.

Corded land lines too.

Oops gotta go. This Billy beer goes straight through ya.

Amen VLF!

This cronyism that come with "family owned" businesses is exactly why we've fallen so far from grace!

We don't need Pat Riley, or Byron Scott or Kurt Rambis, or Derek Fisher, or .... I don't need to see Robert Horry or Jamison or former players who have trouble formulating a (bleep) sentence on TV trying to analyze games.

We need a front office and coaches who have evolved along side the NBA and have earned positions based on their individual accomplishments/merits.

(bleep)!

Magic being hands off would be like Kobe playing off ball.
kobe played off ball quite well when he had a real gp for one season in GP. same would happen with magic. not knocking pelinka. he's new. the truth is all leaders are not always hands on. some leaders take that stance if they are not sure that the person under them can do the job without them being hands on early on. but these same types will back off if they have a vet that has been there done that multiple times over. like a pat riley. but i'm just stating yapping because this rumor is not true.

Truth. C level employees are more like visionaries and employ the right staff to execute their vision.
