most likely won't happen, nor i think Stu would accept it, but i always thought he's in-game analysis are right on point (albeit sometimes can be repetitive)

Hell no. Most he can offer is restarting the big ma' camp hecused to help Pete Newel with with a youngee post tutor I think a camp like that attached to Pau or even Broo Lopez when he retires could be helpful to the near extinct traditional post play...

But Stu and his negative repetive self has no business on a permanent staff at his age.

Nope, for all of his basketball knowledge he is an old, negative and uninspiring character. I can’t imagine his glass half empty routine would go over well with any of our young guys. I’d doubt he knows anything about actually instructing people.

No. But not because he is negative, or any of the other nonsense that's been said. Just because he would have zero interest, and is too old. If Stu had any interest in coaching beyond operating camps the he would have done it when he was much much younger. He could have gotten into coaching 30 years ago if that's what he had an interest in.

If you were the Laker's TV color commentator why would you willingly give that gig up?!?

Luke: "We need a timeout."
Stu: "No you don't."

Luke: "What the hell happened on that play?"
Stu: "Lonzo came down and said, 'Hi LeBron. You're a legend. How about I make it easy on you and throw you a lob.' LeBron said, 'Thank you, young man, I will gladly accept it.' But Giannis said, 'Not in my house.'"
Luke: "So, again, what the hell happened?"
Brian: "Giannis knocked a lob out of bounds."

Stu's 'glass half empty' act is him constantly trying to be Chick Hearn. But Chick wasn't a glass half empty announcer, he just called it like he saw it on the court, and didn't intentionally try to put a negative spin on it. When the Lakers were doing something right, he called it out, when they were doing something wrong or stupid, he called it out.

Stu intentionally tries to put a negative spin on it in a "I'm trying to prove I'm not a homer.." kind of way, and it just comes off as him intentionally being glass half empty.

Wow I find it odd that people think the Stu is negative... (bleep) he is homer compared to most knowledgeable Lakers fans, particularly those on LG. I guess only by comparison to most teams sycophantic crews.

No. I am one of the few who like Stu as an announcer, but I don't see him reaching players who are 50 years younger than him.

Agreed. Unlike most here, I still like Stu. But not in any coaching capacity.

Also "fake their hands down", and "should have been a bounce pass."

LOL! Remember to shorten your dribble!

Or, what about acting as if Luke has no life for thinking basketball all the time? Stu has demonstrated, especially when Joel Myers was here, that he does not eat, sleep, and sheet basketball. He will look down on you if you do. He would have no dedication to coaching.

Yea, lets give him another job that he'll suck at just because his only qualification is that he used to talk next to a guy named Chick.

Between this and adding Chandler Parsons, some awful ideas being propped ip here.

Ok, let’s play would you rather. Would you rather sign Chandler Parsons to a 2-year $10M deal or replace Jesse Murmuys with Stu Lantz for 4 years?
