It's a joke right? I'm trying to read the lips but they're not saying that.

So quiet.
Not enough mistakes?
Can someone tell me if they were running more actions today?

Good job in calling out the pampered children that the FO is afraid to do. If it takes calling out Ingram and Lonzo for being weak then I hope Luke does it daily.

I don't recall your boy Jimmy ever calling out any players. I do remember him saying you could randomly pick out strangers at a bar and their opinions about players would be the same as professional scouts.

Jim wasn’t the head coach, Luke is

So why lead with the front office being afraid to do something you admit is t their job? I am no fan of Magic on many levels, but even I take offense at your relentless and frankly, disingenuous campaign.

I'm not a fan of his rotations overall, but I loved how he handled our PF minutes. Kuzma had made all the damage already, didn't need another quarter just to score more points and Beasley needed that confidence boost after all he's been thru.

We need that Beasley in the rotation much more than we need Lance.

Great point. When we are fully healthy our bench should be Rondo, Hart,KCP, Beasley and Zubac or Tyson. No need really for Lance in this rotation.

I still haven’t forgiven him for the Zubac/McGee starting lineup (not to mention the timeout after the lineup got predictably destroyed 14-3, only to roll out the same lineup after the TO until we were down like 22-3 or something), nor for the stupid 4th quarter lineups all season trying to go small or have 4 guards, one center which resulted in us bleeding points to the other team at the start of the 4th. It’s been better the past couple of games, no doubt, especially with him reining in BI’s ISO’s and getting him the ball more often on the move; hopefully it continues.

Luke is still coaching like last year when the goal was to develop the young core.
The problem is now the Lakers are in the win now situation.
Lebron, Rondo, McGee, Chandler, KCP, and Lance are ready to win now.
Walton might not be the right coach for a win now situation. Perhaps a coach who is more of a win now coach is needed.

At the very least he should play the veterans more. They have the experience in winning situations.
And bring in a shooting coach.
Walton has to get off his previous tanking thinking.
Get more intense and less laid back.

Well rondo and bron have been out. McGee was out for a while too. Chandler is old and you can’t play him 25 minutes a night. If you can’t see that, then I don’t know what to say. And haven you seen lance play? He does some good things when he’s attacking the basket, but he’s taking a lot of dribbles and stalling the offense too. KCP has been getting minutes.

Your thoughts in the bet situation is odd.

BS.
He's playing the kids because Rondo's been out forever. McGee was out. LeBron is out. Chandler is old as (bleep). Beasley was out basically the entire season because of his mother.

The only vet we had available all season long was Stephenson.

SI open floor had some pretty valid criticisms of the Lakers coaching staff with their development (or lack of involvement at all) with BI with how he's being training to be this top of the key iso player instead of building on his 3 point shooting slasher base he came out of college as. And that Luke of all people should know better after coming from the Warriors' 3-pointers and paint buckets philosophy.

You look at shot charts and almost every game, every night it's paint and 3 point line...mid range is SA and they're making it work...but that's not the way the nba is going especially if they add a 4 point line.

The NBA is a constantly evolving game of rock paper scissors. The good teams are the ones who realize this and stay ahead of the idiot pack that keeps going, "They're destroying everyone with paper! We gotta use paper too!"

The 3 point era blew up for a few years, but it's not "the future of the NBA and everyone else is behind". This year, the top teams in the league aren't all the top 3 point shooting teams anymore.

I agree

It looks like the top teams have a balance of defense and guys that can score inside.

Would like to see the Lakers get a piece this summer and do slight adjustments, and I can see them winning a few titles. If.injuries are avoided!

Totally agree. If you can't beat a team at their own game, you're better off finding your own game, and then being better at that than a Golden State is at theirs.

1 thing I don't understand is why is Brandon Ingram the "shooting guard" and not Kuzma?

This is why I didn't get some of the criticism of the offseason signings for the Lakers. "Magic thinks he can beat Golden State without signing shooters! lol!"

What are you going to do: Hey, Golden State has 3 of the best shooters who have ever lived. I know, let's go sign 4 of the best shooters ever! Then we'll surely win!

Uh, no. Not saying Lakers would beat GSW in four games but the Xmas day beatdown showed they CAN, with this personnel that has some length on D and some interesting parts, beat Golden State at least once, maybe twice, maybe three times, maybe....

You want our starting lineup to be

Lonzo Ball
Kyle Kuzma
Brandon Ingram
Michael Beasley
JaVale McGee

?

JaVale shooting 3s sums it up.

Phil Jackson would have Bynum'd him.

This dude is a joke.

We don't even run plays.

But hey, he's happy as long as he gets to sit next to his friends on the bench. I can't wait until Luke and his entire staff get canned together.

Oh, it's over. No way they sustain that run when Mitchell is in.
