Did anyone notice the play where Kuzma got fouled while attempting a layup, by Donovan Mitchell. He was hit in the eye. I don't recall the refs reviewing it to see if it was a flagrant foul. Afterward there was no announcement that it was. Then, with the Lakers having 53 points, Kuzma stood at the free throw line made three free throws with defenders at the line, showing that there wasn't a technical foul. When he finished, they had 56 points. How can refs AND official score keepers miss that?

The announcers never addressed it, and no one else noticed it. I was watching the game with my son and pointed it out to him. I replayed it and he was amazed like I was. What happened? The score was never corrected after that, to indicate that the Lakers were awarded too many points. ???????????????????

I noticed that too, I was gonna mention here but I just thought my stream went backwards for some reason. Wasn't following the score so didn't know whether we got 2 pts or 3 pts out of it. Definitely saw Kuz shooting three FTs.

Just read that the second FT didn't count because of a violation. But even in violations, refs let it go unless the player misses. That was bizarre for sure. Maybe check the score again, think we got 2 pts out of it at least from what I'm reading.

as I recall...the basket did not count...there was a lane violation on the second throw so he made 3 frees of which two counted so they just left the original two points up that did not count...sound right?

I watched the whole game and never saw a score adjustment. The tv score went from 53 to 56 so.....

I rewatched again and saw the 2nd ft made with the ref standing under the rim calling for the ball. After he made it, the score did advance to 56, but as he shot the next one, it went back to 55, then to 56. I stand corrected on the score because it was 54 when he began.

Typical Laker game in Utah. More than any home court that I recall the Jazz always get the calls at home. Frustrating to watch as it was a terribly officiated game. I would care more if the Lakers ever were in the game but it seemed they were out of it from the start.

Yes JaVale’s response to that question was quite...direct.
