Does he want to be out there without Lebron? His effort is disgusting.

He looked disinterest, or dealing with an injury or fatigue. I would like to see someone else get the start for a game or two until McGee can get right.

The last two games he’s been a virtual no show. The guy tries to create his own offense too much lately, and all of a sudden he’s giving up a TOn if uncontested layup attempts inside.

He need to play with smart players, not bunch of young kids. So with them he looks like an idiot but with LBJ or Rondo he can even look serious. It not working with young guys. And its to be expected of course. Young guys and NBA is not working and never will.

He hasn't been the same since coming back from pneumonia. It's so bad he got demoted.

Hope he can turn it around. We can't last with Chandler starting.

He reminds me of that old Shaq-ism: "if you want the dog to guard the yard you better feed him". His easy basket opportunities have mostly plummeted since Lebron's absence, as has his energy.

He's having a hard time executing the new LAkers defensive strategy, he gave too much room for the slashing players to take a shot. He's letting them to take a shot so that he can swat the ball in the air. Unlike Zubac and TC, they are not giving slashing guards an easy shots, the only option is to shoot over their outstretched arms.

He is what he is. Not a stated material to say the least. A 15-20 min guy off the bench to provide shot blocking and rebounding.

He plays well off Lebron and Rondo, who both find him for lobs. He'll be better when those guys are back. But I agree, ideally he'd be a backup for half the teams in this league. But I think he's a starting quality center if you have 2 stars on the perimeter.

He was amazing at the start of the season but now seems to be reverting closer to his career mean.

That said, if he really had pneumonia it is going to take a while to get back to 100%. That is really quite serious and the last thing a basketball player needs in the middle of the season.

I agree though that he doesn't look right, give Zu and Wagner more minutes until (if) he pulls it back together.

Especially for a player with asthma and a career history of poor stamina.

I didn't think he played well the other day. The team was -21 with him on the court and +19 with Chandler on. Has been a trend during the season.

According to Brad Turner Zubac traded away because McGee was unhappy?

How many people in the locker room would be pissed as hell at McGee right now? All the youngsters for starters.

Well it wasn't because of Tyson Chandler who went out of his way to mentor Zubac.

Oh man, that is rich. One would assume that Lebron can get away with having players traded, but now McGee as well?

Anyone have some quotes from the article? Was McGee mad because Zu took his starting job away?
