Yet another one of those "must win" situations (as is every game). |

I think we are gonna blow them out if rondo plays tomorrow, because he is better at team concept success then Lonzo is because Lonzo Ball is still developing his leadership skills..

I seriously hate facing this team.
KAT turns into Wilt and Wiggins forgets that he's awful and turns into prime Vince Carter. |

LeBron James won't play vs. Timberwolves on Thursday
Quote: | LeBron James will not play Thursday against the Minnesota Timberwolves, according to Los Angeles Lakers coach Luke Walton, extending the four-time MVP's absence to 15 games because of a left groin strain.
James participated in drills Wednesday but has yet to experience a full-contact practice since suffering the injury on Christmas Day. |

Preview: Timberwolves (23-24) at Lakers (25-23)
Lakers +1.5/ o/u 229
The Timberwolves have regained some confidence in recent days after back-to-back victories over the Suns. The Wolves won a tight two-point game at Minnesota on Sunday and rolled to a 118-91 victory Tuesday in the desert.
Tuesday's victory included a third-quarter altercation between the Wolves' Gorgui Dieng and the Suns' Devin Booker, with both players being ejected. Afterward, Wolves players appeared amused by the altercation and Dieng even joked about it.
"As a team we're better when we play with the right emotion," Minnesota interim coach Ryan Saunders said, according to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune. "So we want to make sure to control our emotions in terms of not letting them become negative, but we were playing tougher with things."
The Wolves are 4-3 under Saunders, who took over after Tom Thibodeau was fired earlier this month.
Minnesota's Karl-Anthony Towns has scored at least 20 points in 13 of his last 14 games, averaging 26.1 points over that stretch. He put up 55 points in the two recent games against the Suns. Rookie Josh Okogie is coming off a career-best 21-point game and has averaged 11.7 points in seven games this month.
"Josh has all the tools to become an All-Star," Wolves forward Taj Gibson said in the Star-Tribune.
While James and Ball are expected to be out for the Lakers, Wolves guards Jeff Teague (foot) and Tyus Jones (ankle) are day-to-day, while forward Robert Covington (knee) is out indefinitely.
Today's Officials January 24, 2019
Sean Wright (#4) Mark Ayotte (#56) Justin Van Duyne (#64)

I'd consider running this starting lineup:
PG: Rondo
SG: Svi
SF: BI
PF: Kuz
C: Zubac |

It's worth a try... It's not like Hart is locking guys down on D and Svi will help create room for BI and Kuz.
It's only a matter of whether Towns goes off on Zu or puts him into foul trouble. |

Keep in mind that while Rondo will 100% be back for the Suns, he's a GTD for the TWolves |

Critical game, can't drop this game and lose another tiebreaker to a team they're competing for a playoff spot. |

Lebron continues to preserve himself for the playoffs to the point that we don't get in. Makes absolutely zero sense.
Sorry, this organization needs to have this dude risk it. Hell, nobody is asking him to play 40 minutes, in fact prior he was playing one the lowest minutes per game of his career. DO SOMETHING. We cannot afford to lose more games with Ingram running the show and having Kuzma shoot until he gets hot. It isn't working.
All this talk of "he wants to be out there" is horse (bleep). Dude knows we aren't winning it at all this season and doesn't care. If this was Kobe you know he would be out there battling. Sick of this Queen James hijacking this franchise and running everything. _________________ https://www.landofbasketball.com/player_comparison/brandon_ingram_vs_tim_thomas.htm

Its simple. This is a must win game like every one until the end of regular season. We are in that position when we do not have any space to lose. |

Towns is a bad fit for Zubac, he struggles with quicker bigs who can play on the perimeter. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

This post nails it. This situation is just making some of us miss seeing Kobe on the court |

So you'd rather Lebron go out there not fully healthy carry the team to the playoffs and potentially making the injury a lot worse? You saw what happened to Oladipo right?
Because im thinking and this is just me! I'd much rather he takes the time he needs to fully recover and lessen the risk of reaggravating the injury. Im not intrested in Lebron showing he can play through pain just to appease fans. We need to keep this dude as healthy as possible because he's gonna take us to another level. If he stays healthy of course.
