Hey All,
Latest @BleacherReport The Los Angeles Lakers' Path to Carmelo Anthony Requires Patience - IF the Lakers make a trade that opens roster space, Melo seems inevitable. But will the Lakers find a trade? Magic has been active both deadlines since he was hired

This thread title would have been appealing approximately ten years ago. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:

Could the Melo acquisition be any worse then Jim/Mitch signing Mozgov/Deng to ludicrous contracts and handicapping our future flexibility? some fans don’t understand that if Melo acts up he will have such a small contract salary that we can immediately waive him without any possible restrictions. if you are gonna be frustrated with something, then injuries are the thing you should be frustrated with not the FO looking for a small risk and high-reward move.
Sure hope that Lakers learn from history.
Carmelo has been with Knicks, OKC, and
Houston past years.
OKC is playing much better without him.
When Carmelo left Houston started playing much better.
Outside of a blockbuster trade, it seems like it would have to be Stevenson or Beasley. I like both but I never understood the Stevenson signing when you already have Hart and Pope. Now Ingram gets a turn there too so..........
Do the fans want him? No
Is the front office actively negotiating for him? I hope not
Who the f*ck cares?
Carmelo brings nothing to the Lakers that they can't achieve with their current players
When asked LeBron will muse that it would be nice to play with one of his friends. He probably sees Carmelo's breakdown and worries about his own immortality especially in light of his own recent injury. Players breakdown on different schedules. Carmelo was never a LeBron. Carmelo's time passed years ago.

Something about the headline is funny to me.... If we behave ourselves and be really patient, we just might be able to get worse with Melo. I mean missed lay-ups, free throw bricks, wide open three airballs, etc. these will seem like the good ol' days when Melo gets here. Just be patient!
