A friend told me a story.

His girlfriend told him women are better at multitasking than men.
So he told her to sit down and shut up.
She couldn't do either.

There's a lesson to be learned here. I don't know what it is and I don't care to find out.

So it appears it got to -40s here, and then it is supposed to jump to the 50s in a few days.

Yeah, no imminent danger or anything to worry about with this.

Remember that the next drought when you’re begging for water. We e kind of hit the sweet spot. We now have nicer summers, but our rain is just compressed in fewer days, so our plants are actually alive.

I had an experience this morning that really opened my eyes and helped me sympathize with what folks in the colder climes are going through right now. This morning I saw my son walk out the door to go to school, and the image will haunt me forever. Now, I know sweatshirts have that extra pouch-like hoodie thing hanging off the back, but today it wasn't hanging.
It was on top of his head! As he turned to say good-bye, my bewilderment turned to horror as small bursts of misty smoke flowed from his mouth every time he talked or breathed. "Are you a Targaryen?" I wondered.
And then I saw it.
Them.
On his legs beneath the cuff of his shorts
goose-bumps

That's worse than anything we have to deal with. Best bring him inside, build a fire, and serve hot cocoa.

He warmed himself by the burning hillside and made it just in time to watch the girl’s beach volleyball practice.

Went to a party last night, 14 of us, good food, good people, no TV, no cell phones, no sports.

It was glorious!

Don't fall for it. These things are only true when sent by some Nigerian prince.

I just post it whenever someone asks. I figure if that lifelock guy can do it without any problems, then why can't I?

Not sure how many times today I've thought to myself, "I don't give a flying (bleep)." Seems like it's been a recurrent theme and it's only lunchtime.

Sure. Sometimes it just flies so fast you may miss it.
But it never misses you.
