Maybe Melo can teach Kuzma not to turn down terrible shots.

I'm thinking Ellington would be good. We can put the Bron-ball guys with Lebron, Rondo and McGee/Chandler. Let Lonzo run the 2nd unit with the young guys playing at speed.

Rondo, Bullock, Ellington, Lebron, McGee/Chandler.
Ball, Hart, Ingram, Kuz, Muscala/Wagner.

Some also suggested Kanter, that sounds good too.

Rondo, KCP, Bullock, Lebron, Kanter/McGee.
Ball, Hart/Lance, Ingram, Kuz/Wagner, Chandler/Muscala.

So bench 3 of our 4 best guys? Really?

You know what? Thinking about it... you're right. This shouldn't be about "Bron-ball" alone... but about making the best of what we have and getting as many of our best guys out there. So if they get Kanter, then:

Ball, Bullock, Lebron, Kuz, Kanter
Rondo, KCP/Lance, Ingram/Hart, Muscala/Wagner, McGee/Chandler

I'd put Ingram in the 2nd unit with Rondo (his BFF) and because Lonzo/Bron will need a catch and shoot guy more than Ingram.

Melo and it will work just like it did in the Olympics (when Melo was at his best playing alongside LBJ) and revitalize Melo's career after we go on a tear to end the season.

Even better, maybe Melo and Ingram can take turns playing iso ball and trying to make Lebron the spot-up shooter. Boy that would be super fun to watc...

It'll be Melo or Kanter, we're already very overloaded with Wings

Rondo/Stephenson (Ball)
Bullock/KCP
Ingram/Hart
LeBron/Kuzma/Muscala
McGee/Kanter/Chandler

Rondo/Stephenson (Ball)
Bullock/KCP
Ingram/Hart

Melo makes the most sense position wise. We're pretty deep if healthy at the 2-3. A Teodosic for Ball till he gets back. Kanter would be decent and would send McGee or Chandler to the bench. Maybe they wanna give Mo some minutes with Zu gone?

I think it will be Melo but I'm not sure he really helps us. In any event I'm not gonna get worked up for a less than half season rental that will barely move the needle for us, if at all. What we really need is to get and stay healthy and for BI to continue playing well and Lonzo to step up his game. That's what is going to allow us to compete. I still like our chances in a 7 game series vs anyone not named Golden State, provided we make the playoffs.

Carmelo Anthony is a possible addition for the Lakers, but not an inevitability a team source tells ESPN. LAL will monitor the buyout market and will also consider a piece that could fortify their depth at PG or C, two positions they’ve been hit with injuries this season

Kanter would be a nice addition IMO, especially his ability to space the floor and knock down shots.

With Kanter you give him 27 minutes, Javale 15, and Tyson 6.

I would much rather see Wagner (I think he will be a real deal player) get minutes as a back up then Melo at this point...

I would definitely take Markieff or Kanter over Melo.

Yeah, I could do Kanter. Moe should play backup PF because he does have a nice stroke fr outside.

Wagner also brings passion, energy and he should be given time so he can grow, I think he will be a regular rotation guy real soon. Melo is done if you ask me, not knocking him, but father time is knocking on his door...

Was Patton released? Sign him to a two-way contract.

Yeah he actually could be a weapon against those two, in that regard

If we can get him and play him for 25 mins a game I think we'd be better off for it. Probably our best option

Anyone else read Warriors were interested in Kanter? I can't remember where I read that. He was complaining about playing time in NY. How much time is he going to get on the Warriors?

I dont think we'll get Wayne because:

1. I dont think he gets minutes over Bullock, KCP, Hart
2. He's 31 and I don't recall his defense being good. Anyone seen Heat games recently to comment on his defense?

I'm not a fan of Melo. But with Beasley gone, he might slide into that backup PF spot.

I'd prefer to get a backup point guard just in case Zo isn't ready to come back.
